Update as of December 2018 - This entire story has more or less been revamped. The whole story is way better than it was back in 2014.

For those of you Avenger/Whovians out there reading this, you can tell where this story is going just by the title. I hope you enjoy it.

Chapter One: Not Applicable

It has been long enough since The Battle of New York where most would call the world safe - or at least, safe enough. Our champions have all settled down and started expanding their families by welcoming children into the new world.

Like the others, Thor had a wife: Jane Foster, the marvellous woman who accepted him long before she knew that he was a god.

Unlike the others, Thor and Jane did not have a child.

At least, not one that they knew of...

At Clint and Natasha's cozy home, Thor and Jane spent the day visiting them. The women were standing to the side of the room while the men were playing with Clint and Natasha's daughter. They were all smiling as the baby was rolling around, tugging on whatever she could get her tiny hands on. Jane found herself entranced the longer she watched how gentle Thor was with the baby, imagining Clint and Natasha's child as their own.

"Jane, can I talk to you," Natasha says softly, already dragging her friend off somewhere else to talk.

"I guess," Jane replies since Natasha acted as if she already got an answer.

Natasha escorts Jane out through a side door, leading her to a balcony. Jane exits first as Natasha slides the door shut behind them. She peeks through the windows to see if Clint and Thor could see or hear them, but lucky for them, they seemed to preoccupied with the baby to have even noticed that they stepped out.

"What is it?" Jane asks Natasha. Judging by Natasha's cautious expression, it seemed as if she was handing Jane the passwords to all of SHIELD's most classified files.

"You told me you were pregnant," Natasha blurts out.

Jane's breath hitches a little before nodding.

Last Week – Stark Towers

"What's key is not to worry or jump to conclusions," Pepper tells them as she paces back and forth around her bedroom, rocking from side-to-side as she carries her napping daughter in her arms. "You don't know for sure."

"Pepper, calm yourself down and stop walking around," Natasha says leaning against the wall. She slumps down and is now sitting on the ground. "You're making me and Emily dizzy and I think you're freaking Jane out more than she already is."

The Avengers got called in for a mission. Natasha wasn't with them because someone had to watch Merida. Typically, she and Clint would alternate based on who goes on the mission and who stays, but Jane called for a secret and emergency girl meeting, so Natasha let Clint go. As of right now, the women are gathered in Tony and Pepper's bedroom with their (shockingly) quiet babies.

"I - I am not freaking out," Jane lies, keeping her bugged-out eyes fixated on the pregnancy test in her hands. She tosses it across the room onto Pepper's bed. "I'm perfectly calm."

"You're kind of pasty for calm," Peggy says.

Jane narrows her eyes at her before jumping a little when a softened alarm goes off. Betty shuts it off to avoid bothering the babies as much as they could. That meant that the pregnancy test was done calibrating the results.

"It's time," Jane whispers, standing up. "Time to see where my life goes from here."

"Whatever happens, it'll be fine," Betty quickly encourages. "I'm crossing my fingers though."

She makes her way over to where she threw the pregnancy test. Those six steps feel more like six miles. Jane's legs almost give out on the way, but she finally makes it. She takes the pregnancy test in her hands and refuses to look at it. She just looks at her friends and their babies, the former of which are waiting in anticipation. She takes a deep breath and holds it to look at the results. Who would've thought that a six-inch stick of plastic would make your heart race faster and life change exponentially?

"Oh my god…" Jane mutters with her mind slightly spinning.

"She's going down!" Peggy exclaims, stepping over to place a frenzied Jane onto the bed before she falls over.

"Was it positive?" Pepper questions on behalf of the others.

"Worse…" Jane replies. "Not applicable."

-o-

"I did..." Jane says, remembering what happened at Stark Towers not too long ago. "Because I was - or thought I was. Or maybe I wanted to believe that I was." Her expression saddens a little. "Turns out, that I'm probably not."

Natasha puts a supportive hand on her shoulder. "Well, if you were pregnant, then Thor would've probably taken it the best compared to the others. He comes from a loving family minus the dysfunctional brother, but thank god he's adopted."

"But how would it work?" Jane asks looking back in the house at Thor. "I'm constantly working and he's going back and forth from here to Asgard battling in both. That's so much already. Just add a kid in that."

"If Clint and I - the world's most deadliest people - can have a precious little baby, then so can you."

Jane doesn't respond, still skeptical about the whole parenting idea.

"When are you going to Asgard?" Natasha asks.

"Tomorrow."

So, do you believe that Jane is pregnant? (If she isn't, then that defeats the whole purpose of this story).
