Hello!
This is my first Fanfic!
Chapter 1: Can we talk?
I want to hate him so bad, after all he put me through, but I can't. Every time he tries to talk to me, I ignore him. He would walk in my direction; I would turn and go in another direction. I'll be lying if I said that not talking to him wasn't slowly killing me on the inside. I really want to forget him and act like nothing ever happened between us, but at the same time I want to run into his arms or even just sit with him and stare into his eyes. Ugh! I sound so stupid right now.
"I don't know why you keep doing this to yourself" Alli said breaking me from my thoughts.
"I have no idea what you're talking about" I said hoping she would drop the subject, but Alli being Alli, I know she won't.
"Clare, ever since Eli came back to school, he's been the only one on your mind." She paused. "I know you two have been through a lot, and I understand where your coming from…but have you tried to look at things from his point of view?" she asked causing me to go into deep thought.
She's right, but of course Alli was usually right about relationships when it isn't hers. I never thought about why he was super clingy. Was it because he didn't have many friends? No, he wasn't acting clingy towards Adam. Was it because he somewhat still feels guilty for what happened to Julia and he wanted to spend as much time as he could before our time on earth is up? Yeah, I think that may have been the reason.
"So, do you think I should talk to him?" I asked Alli.
"Yes, and I think you need to do it fast before he doesn't want to talk to you anymore." She said as the bell rang for lunch.
"Ok, wish me luck" I said with a mile and ran out of the classroom searching for Eli.
"Good Luck!" I heard Alli yell behind me.
I ran and pushed people out of the way so I could catch Eli at his locker. I turned the corner and there he was standing at his locker…with Imogene Moreno. Ugh! I try my best not to say this, but I HATE her. Like whom does she think she is all over my m-…I mean Eli like they're dating.
They aren't dating right?
"Um…hi Eli." I said softly.
"Hey"
"Can we talk?" I asked. He looked at me for a few seconds.
"No." he said simply. I nodded my head and began walking away. He started talking: "I wasn't talking to you Clare, I was saying no to Imogene lunch invite."
"But, Eli! We have things to talk about and do!"
"Imogene!" Eli said loudly. "I'll meet up with you later"
She nodded her head and began to walk away, but not before she sent a death glare my way.
"So, where do you want to talk?" Eli asked me.
"Let's go to the Dot." I suggested. He leaned against his locker.
"You want to leave the school's campus, skip the rest of our classes, and risk getting caught and getting suspended?" He asked. I began to panic, but nodded my head.
He smiled and grabbed his coat out of his locker.
"Well, let's go while all the security guards are distracted." He said as I smiled.
"Ok"
