Helms Deep

The moon shone

On the midnight run

Where the solemn man

The watched as the mass approached

As it stormed the hills that they loved dearly

They watched, and waited

The moon shone

As the battle of the keep begun

The man watched as air fly

They rushed past them

Dropping their enemies fast

But still the enemy charged

The moon shone

The echo of steel rang in the ravine

The once gray walls

That were stronger than metal

Strong enough to stand in the might of gods

Were blown away but fire

And the remains were covered in red

The moon shone

On the finally stand of the men

As they held back the enemy

For hope of something to hope for

The sun rose

To see the men victorious

The men stood of the wall of their beloved fort

And watched it in peace
