He could try to run and try to hide, but he just couldn't escape the fact that he was just too perfect for the job.
She knew he was bad for her yet she couldn't bring herself to let go. And so she basked in his perfect embrace, his perfect voice, his perfect gaze capturing her own before he pushed her away.
The four men shared a glance before locking their attention back on the youth in front of them. He had changed since their last meeting, that much was certain. They couldn't detect a hint of anything at all, couldn't read him in the slightest. And it was all because of the perfect mask he donned, that no one could penetrate.

He raised his hand and watched the perfect imitation reflect the movement. Every detail was perfect, a flawless replica. Yet it was not; something was missing.

Brown eyes took a second to regard the thin rivulet of crimson run slowly down his knuckle in mild fascination. He refocused to examine his handiwork.
The glass was splintered, cracks spider webbing from the point of impact, but remained in place. The man who was not a boy stared at the shattered image, now barely recognizable as himself and smiled wryly.

Scorpia prided themselves on perfection. They allowed no mistakes to be made, not a crack in their formation.
Their plans were seamless as well. Every detail organized, every step of the procedure prepared.
But as long as he existed, he would make sure they failed.
"Alex, Alex, Alex!"
Yes, there he was. His son. Their son. Their cute little baby. And there she was. His beautiful wife. Helen.
She was sitting on the couch cooing at Alex, who was giggling happily in her lap. Leaning over the back of the couch, he buried his nose in her sweet smelling hair and rested a hand on her shoulder.
Her soft chuckle broadened his smile and she scolded him playfully. He kissed her cheek and reached out to tickle their wonderful little son. Alex squirmed in a very adorable way.
The happy couple laughed together in the sun-lit living room as they continued to play with their child.
He skirted around to plop down beside Helen, wrapping an arm around her waist. She smiled her dazzling smile, making his heart almost burst with happiness.
She placed Alex in his arms and he encircled both him and Helen in his embrace. They were his perfect family.
