A/N: Hey there this is luna with a small oneshot. I got bored and didn't feel like writing my other fanfic right now so I decided to write this. I hope you like it.

Memories

Alfred was nervous. Like 'sweating rivers' kind of nervous.

Why?

Well you see, he was going to ask Arthur to marry him.

He wiped the sweat from his brow with his napkin, wanting to look presentable for when Arthur returned from the restroom.

He fiddled with his cuffs until he heard the chair being pulled out. He lifted his head to see concerned emerald green orbs staring at him with worry.

"Is something wrong love?" Arthur asked.

"N-no, everything's fine. Why do you ask?" Alfred stuttered.

"Well, you seem to be sweating oceans. What's the matter poppet?" Arthur adked, his voice laced with worry.

Alfred didn't say anything until Arthur reached across the table and held his hand. Hoping to comfort the poor boy.

"D-do you remember the day I moved away?" Alfred asked suddenly.

"Yes. Why?" Arthur asked feeling confused.

"Remember how I promised to see you again? And years later you were the one to find me? And then we became friends which eventually turned to love? And then we moved in together three years ago?"

"Of course, I did live it after all." Arthur chuckled. 'Alfred must be really nervous if he's rambling.' Arthur thought.

Alfred smiled. He always loved hearing Arthur's laugh.

"Anyway, they were the most important parts of my life. I love those memories and I want to make more. But not just as your boyfriend."

"What are you saying?"

He got on one knee in front of everyone, pulled out a green velvet box and opened it to show a silver band with a blue sapphire in the middle and said the words that he had been dying to say for a long time.

"Arthur James Kirkland, the most wonderful, beautiful, amazing person ever, will you marry me?"

Arthur felt tears flowing down his cheeks. Unable to say a word he nodded his head as if his life depended on it.

"Really?!"

"Yes, you idiot. How could I say no to the most kind, caring, and heroic man ever."

And with that Alfred slipped the ring on and they kissed. There was clapping all around them and people shouting their congratulations for the new husband's to be.

"You know," Alfred said as they pulled apart, "I have a ring like yours, but it has an emerald. Just like your eyes."

"Really? Why?"

"Because, when ever we miss each other we can look at our rings and see each others eyes. And when we reunite our rings will show others that we were meant for each other." He said happily.

"You are one soppy idiot."

"Yea, but I'm your soppy idiot."

And with that they kissed again.
