Chained
Pulling and tugging was what I always did.
Now, I just let them dig into my skin.
I stopped fighting because there was no use.
No one could hear my cries of help.
No one could come to save me.
So, I just stare blankly with chains wrapping around me.
These chains keep me here in this…place.
This dead place.
Everything is black and white.
No one is here, but him.
A sly smirk is always on his face.
A smug attitude that is all knowing.
That pair of dangerous gold eyes.
I don't know if he's real or not.
He taunts me.
Says I'm going to be his queen.
Says we will watch the world burn.
Says I'll always be his.
I snort.
He comes to me every day.
Then, he stopped coming.
I grew scared.
He was my only company.
And, I grew to love him.
Then, he came back.
Beaten and bruise, but alive.
I tugged forward as he falls on me.
My hands were tried so I couldn't remove his head from my breasts.
Or, his body from atop of my.
Liked I cared.
I smile as I hear his even breathing.
I closed my eyes and fell into a peaceful sleep.
I felt a movement and opened my eyes.
He was staring at me.
Grabbing the chains, he broke them.
I wrapped my arms around him and started to cry.
Crying for him.
Crying for happiness.
Crying for so much more.
He wraps his arms around me and whispers in my ear promises.
Promises of love.
Promise of freedom.
Promises of forever.
He steals my first kiss.
It was loving and slow, so different from him.
Breaking apart, he turns to my neck
There, he marks me as his.
