A/N: My first Fairy Tail fan fiction; I'm sorry if it's terrible, short and a total mess, please leave constructive criticism if you have any!

Disclaimer: Fairy Tail and the characters Erza Scarlet and Jellal Fernandes do not belong to me; they belong to Hiro Mashima, the amazing master piece creator.

Jellal's POV:

Once again, I found myself contemplating how different my life would be if I'd never been tempted to follow the path of evil; If only I had maybe been a little stronger and not so naïve. This seemed to be a part of my routine, as it was all I ever did anymore. I mean, apart from destroy dark guilds with Ultear and Meredy. 'Repenting for our sins' was how we looked at it. Destroying those in the darkness, hoping we will find the light that way. As my eyes closed from fatigue, I felt myself drift off into sleep.

The setting around me was not one I found myself familiar with. Instead of it being a cold November day, the sun seemed to be gleaming in the sky, radiating heat. I looked down at my bulky clothes, sighing in annoyance. Looking around, I realised I was surrounded by nature, in a sort of meadow like area. In the distance, I spotted what seemed to be a house. Since I had nothing better to do, I decided to make my way over to it. Listening to the steady crunching of leaves under my feet, I came to the conclusion that this was nothing more than a dream. Therefore, it wouldn't hurt to explore the inner workings of my mind, would it? As I got closer to the building I realised it was more like a mansion than a house. Finding myself approaching a gate, I stopped walking completely, to find a shocking sight before me.

Her red – no, scarlet hair was neatly placed into a bun on the top of her head, rogue strands framing her face as she walked, carrying what looked like a laundry basket. She was clad in casual clothing; a grey tank top and teal checked over shirt matched with a pair of denim trousers. Her features were almost familiar, apart from the fact that she looked much more mature and frail compared to the other person he had in mind. Not to mention that the other person had been dead, or more appropriately 'missing', for the past three years. Two small figures seemed to be running around her, a boy and a girl. They both had purple hair, only the boys eyes were the same brown his mothers were, filled with warmth. The girl, on the other hand, had emerald eyes nearly as piercing as my own. It came to my attention that I had never seen these children before, and dreams consist of images you have seen yourself, but before I had time to contemplate that, two hazel eyes pierced through mine. The whole world seemed to slow down as neither one of us looked away.

"Daddy" My eyes flew open to the sound of a thundering crack, and I had to blink twice to adjust to my surroundings. 'What a peculiar dream that was indeed' I thought to myself, shaking my head curtly, as if trying to snap out of it and wake up back in reality.

"Oh good, you're up; we found out about another dark guild half an hour away. Once this storm clears up we're thinking about going there and destroying it!" I smiled while nodding my head at Meredy, letting her know I would be joining her and Ultear. Looking outside at the horrible weather, I sighed, wishing I could maybe live in that alternate universe instead of this one, which is filled with hate and destruction.

'One day, we will meet again, Erza.'
