BANG, BANG, BANG.
9 shot his head up at the banging on the door,
BANG, BANG, BANG.
He slowly pulled the duvet off of himself,
BANG, BANG, BANG.
"SHUT UP!" 7 screamed as she had only just woke up.
BANG, BANG, BANG.
9 had already began creeping into the bucket-lift and lowering himself down
BANG-
9 heard some scribbling, like the noise 6 made when he was drawing then some footsteps. Realizing whoever-or whatever- it was, they had gone.
He slowly opened the door peeking his head through, to see if anything was out there. A gust of wind blew a few paper bags into his face, 9 wriggled his arms and legs around trying to get them off. The bags slowly fluttered down to 9's feet, where there was a pile of rags with a small rip of paper on it. He picked it up and brought it inside closing the door him. On the paper was writing; it was scruffy and messy which 9 couldn't work out but he knew someone who might.
"2!" no answer "2!" still no answer.
9 ran to the lift and wrenched himself up, then jogged to a nicely built, wooden room where 2 was sleeping heavily. "2, wake up...2!"
2 snorted and rolled off the bed. "Ow!" 2 rubbed his back "give me a hand up won't you 9" 9 bent down and grabbed 2's hand, staring at the note; he lifted himself and 2 up. "What do you have you got there?" 2 asked kindly. Looking over his shoulder.
"I found it on the door step outside after some banging on the door..."
"There can't be! There's nobody here- on this whole planet but..." 2 looked dreamily through one of the cathedrals stained glass windows.
"2 snap out of it, there is nobody on this planet but us."
"But how could we know?" 2's voice was now very quiet, so much so that if 9's hearing was any worse, it would probably just sound like a squeak.
9 stepped out of the lift and put out a hand to help 2 down. 2 went straight to the door and heaved it open, as he did so a wailing gust of wind swept in carrying with it pieces of litter and lots of rags, 2 bent down to examine one.
"2! You need to look at this!"
