There were screams coming from he other side of the door, but the warders standing guard would not let him in even as the screams got worse. Eriam began to pace, back and forth across the hall three step forward three steps back and another scream. Eriam clenched his hands trying not to listen to the pain coming from the other room, not wanting to think about it, instead he went back to the day that he knew this would happen, the day that his whole life seemed to change.

It had been a bright summers day and they had been taking a stroll around the Gardens. Eriam had been confused, as the woman beside him had been silent for a while. "Jam, honey is everything ok?" he asked with concern clear in his voice.

"Eriam, I have to tell you something and you have to promise me not to freak out." Jamelia said with clarity as is she had thought out each word before she even knew she was going to tell him.

"I promise, now will you please tell me what is wrong, I have never seen you so quiet before."

"Eriam, I'm Pregnant."

Eriams eyes opened wide in shock as he looked at the woman he loved, the woman he would kill for if she but asked. So many emotions flashed across his face, a mixture of shock, grief, bewilderment and joy.

He took Jamelia in his arms and gently placed his lips upon hers, just to let her know that he was there.

"You know that I will always be here for you no matter what, you know that I would kill for you, so why did you feel afraid to tell me that we were going to have a child?" Eriam asked as he held Jamelia.

"I thought that it would change the way you think of me." Jamelia muttered, because even to her they sounded foolish.

"Don't be so silly, if anything it brings us closed together."

Again a scream brought Eriam out of his reverie as he paced back and forth.

Again he walked up to the doors and again he was pushed away.

Another five minutes of pacing and screaming and the screams finally stopped quickly followed by an almost eerie silence.

Stood in shock, Eriam stared at the door a look of deep concern painted onto his face, and finally the door opens and put comes a yellow "You can come in now."

Jamelia finished pushing, the last scream leaving her lips, she had never felt so drained in all her life. They said that childbirth was the worst pain in you life but Jamelia felt that she may have known one much worse, the pain of losing a loved one.

Looking down her gaze settled on that of a little face being passed into her arms, "Congratulations it's a girl."

Jamelia could do nothing more that stare at the tiny hand now holding onto her finger, "Your so beautiful, with your eyes the exact shade of your fathers."

"She has your hair, Hun." Eriam whispered beside her ear. Jamelia smiled up at him tiredness clear in her eyes, "I love you" she whispered to the two loves in her life.

"Lana al'Bazier" Eriam whispered softly as he watched his daughter and Love fall asleep.
