A/N: My first Final Fantasy X story, no flames please.

Takes place the night they spend by Zanarkand, in Yuna's POV.

I'm SORRY if this sucks, again it's my first Final Fantasy X fan fiction.

I will be getting better at these, after all people keep writing to get better at it.

Disclaimer: All Character rights go and belong to Square Enix, I'm just writing about them.

This is the end. Not only to Tidus's story, for mine as well.

My pilgrimage is ending. Every step that I take I get closer to Sir Jecht, to Sin.

To fast, this has all happened to fast. If only we could all stay like this, together. Just for a little longer, but time is a precious thing and waits for no one.

I take my time looking at my guardians.

Wakka, Lulu, Kimarhi, Auron, Rikku...Tidus...

They're my friends, no...my family. They mean all of Spira to me.

I squeeze my eyes shut when I feel them starting to flood with my tears.

"Yuna, are you alright?" I hear Lulu say, her voice gentle and calm.

Rikku says that it's not the end when I told her to thank her father for me, who is also my Uncle...but I know it is. This is what a summoner does for Spira, like my father I must sacrifice myself for my people.

I fake a yawn and rub my eyes with my hands, giving me an excuse to dry my tears.

"Yes, I'm just a little tired..." I lied before opening my eyes, watching the fire reflect on everyone's faces.

What would it be like when we all defeat Sin? Will we even defeat Sin?

"You need your rest." Auron says, his good eye still fixed on the fire that lays in the center of all of us.

I nod before slowly rising to my feet. Lulu is still watching me carefully, I can tell she's worried for me and it doesn't help me feel any better. The others are either looking down at their feet or at the fire burning in front of them. This makes it worse, so much worse.

"Goodnight." I tell everyone in a soft whisper before walking over to the small patch of grass that's my bed for the night.

It's not long when I feel strong and warm arms gently wrap themselves around my waist, then a soft pair of lips on the base of my neck sending a group of warm sparks down my spine, the same feeling I've felt the day we've first met back in the temple of Besaid.

"Tidus."

I feel myself smiling at his name on my lips.

He pulls me closer to him so he can lay his head on my shoulder. I couldn't hold back a giggle as his wispy blonde hair brushes against my cheek and the heat of his body comes in sudden contact with mine.

I love him, but something inside of me kept holding me back before I could confess how I feel for him...but...I feel like he already knows.

Maybe words don't have to express how we feel for each other.

Just being there for one another is enough for me, and knowing that I can trust him with my life. Which I already do.

"Yuna." He whispers softly, I feel his nose nuzzle the base of my neck gently. "I won't let you die...I promise."

I hug him tightly.

"Stay with me?" I whisper not even daring to hide my fear.

"Always, Yuna." He kisses my neck before resting his head back on my shoulder. "Always"

And somehow, I fell fast asleep...here and now. Maybe it was because he was holding me while I slept, guarding me until dawn...no...

I know that was the reason.
