"Ollllliiieeeeeeee," I whined to my boyfriend as he continued mixing unknown ingredients for cupcakes. I noticed him glance in my direction and sigh. He was obviously annoyed but what was even more annoying was the lack of attention I'd been getting from him. Ever since his brother's birthday party he had been acting different. "Oliver!" I whined louder, puffing out my cheeks and crossing my arms.
The silence that filled the air seemed last forever. Oliver never acted like this. Not once in the two years that we'd been living together, not once in the 9 years we'd knowen each other.
"Poppet?" He quietly called out to me, stopping what he was doing. I uncrossed my arms and approched him, wrapping my upper limbs lazily around his back.
"What is it Ollie? What's wrong?" I whispered softly, squeezing his sides. I could see the dark blush coating his cheeks as he pondered what to say.
"_," you wouldn't cheat on me right?" He said sadly turning to face me. I stood completely in shock. I had no clue why he would even as a question like that.
"Oliver Kirkland! Why would you even think such a thing?" I put my hands on my hips and studied his facial expressions as his cheek grew darker in color. He looked as if he was going to cry. "Ollie?" I asked him softly, once again wrapping my arms his thin but surprisingly fit figure.
"It's just that...at Al's party, you and him were talking." Oliver said quietly, looking at the floor and nervously shifting his feet. "It seemed like you two were around each other alot and to me it seemed alot like, well flirting..." he said trailing off at the last part.
"Al and I weren't flirting. It was his birthday for crying out loud! I was just trying to be nice." I leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. "Besides, you don't have to be jealous Ollie." I said teasingly. "You got me," I said tilting his face away from the floor and into my eyes. "You always will." I watched the pure joy spread across my lover's face as he pulled me into a tight hug and happily pressed his lips unto mine.
"Oh poppet! I'm so sorry I ever douted you! I love you so I really do!" He said with a huge smile on his face. As I whispered those three words, 'I love you' back to him he slowly kissed me again. Suddenly the mood in the room completely. One minute Oliver was upset, the next he was all over me.
"Ollie," I murmured as his lips trailed down my neck, hands running through my (h/c) hair. He quickly pulled away from me flashing his cheshire cat like grin, eyes portraying innocence.
"What poppet? I thought you wanted my attention."
