Disclaimer: I own nothing from the Game of Thrones except a little Joffrey figurine.

AN: I feel like there are a lot of these stories, buuuut I wanted to add mine to the pile. Enjoy the read!

Sliding her eyes shut, she saw him there in her mind's eye the day that she and Podrick had left to find the Lady Sansa. Hair sheared short and shining gold in his Commander's armor and white cloak, he looked nothing like the man she had known on the road. He looked every bit the highborn Lord that he was. The outstanding son of Lannister. A sword, a set of armor and a squire. Jaime had given her all these things when he had already given her so much. He had saved her from being raped multiple times over, had saved her from the bear, and now this? Sure, she had always heard that a Lannister paid his debts, but what was he indebted to her for? HE had been the one saving her on the road. She had been his captor! He shouldn't feel…responsible to her in any way. She never thought of him as overly generous. Kind, maybe on occasion, but these gifts were outright lavish. Perhaps they were a bribe for her to take on Podrick? She would have taken him on anyway without the sword and armor, considering his life was at stake. But then again, Jaime probably knew that. It wouldn't seem that he treated the rest of those in his command in such a way. Why had he done all this?

AN: I hope you enjoyed this!
