"INCENDIO!" yelled Harry and a jet of flame leapt from his wand and incinerated the Inferii in front of him.
Without pausing for a breath he yelled, "Expecto Patronum" and a massive eagle lept from his wand batting away the Dementors with its wings as if they were flies.
"You okay mate?" asked Ron concern evident on his face.
"Fine, we better hurry, this place isn't called Hell for no reason" Harry responded.
Ron glanced around him, although they had taken care of most of the dangerous creatures, there were still traps in wait for them.
During Grindelwald's rise he had made a point to trash England, their Ministry specifically, because they had been a thorn in his side for far too long.
Finally, they arrived at the telephone box that was the entrance to the Ministry.
Surprisingly after all these years it had remained intact and functional.
As they descended Harry snatched his Invisibility Cloak and tossed it over himself and Ron.
That artifact was one of the reasons why Grindelwald had so doggedly hounded the Potter family, in fact the only remaining Potter was Harry.
As they entered the Ministry the could feel the Blood-Fort wards attempt to suck the life from them, but the Invisibility Cloak which could reputedly hide the wearer from Death's gaze, easily held.
"Bombarda" Ron yelled and the floor beneath them collapsed, Harry quickly cast a Cushioning Charm.
After a few wrong turns the finally arrived in the room they were looking for.
"This is it..." Ron said.
As if highlighting it's importance a crack in the ceiling allowed sunlight to shine on the prototype Time turner.
And then a shadow fell over it.
"Harry Potter and Ron Weasley both the last remaining scions of their lines..." said Grindelwald laughing.
"You did not honestly think that it was your own ingenuity that let you find the Time Turner?"
"Who do you think told the young Hermoine Granger about knowledge that was kept in the deepest recesses of... AVADA KEDAVRA!"
The Invisibility Cloak failed to defend Harry from the bolt of Death, as it came from Grindelwald who was master of two Deathly Hallows and closer to being the Master of Death than Harry.
Grindelwald threw his head and began laughing uproariously, tears rolling down his face.
"Avada Kedavra!" yelled Ron at the man who had taken everything from him.
The green bolt struck Grindelwald in the chest and fizzled out. Grindelwald began laughing even more.
"Poor Ronald... Did you really think that the Master of Death could be killed?"
"It's funny who both of you who have been thorns in my side were defeated by tricks, did you really expect me to be the type of villain who wastes time with theatrics?"
Ron didn't respond but began sprinting towards the Time Turner.
Grindelwald sensing his intention sent a bolt of light towards the Time Turner which exploded in Ron's face.
Then a bolt of green light struck Ron in the back and he fell still.
