Obviously I don't own Naruto OR any of the peoples...
It was his fire, yes that what was so intriguing about him, his fire, his will. His will never to give up, to protect his special people, to show himself worthy.
"Naruto" Sasuke whisper's his ebony eyes narrowed at the loud blonde. For the moment the blonde's brilliant blue eyes are closed. Slowly Sasuke lowers his face until they are just inches apart.
"Naruto" So alike in their past and yet so different in the present. He knew that he was inferior to Naruto, without the curse he would be weak, weaker than Naruto.
He couldn't let that happen he needed to be strong, he needed to kill his brother.
It was the only thing that keeps him alive, the burning need. The desperation, to grow, to learn, to excel and there Naruto was always bounding ahead of him always growing always just out of reach.
But not now, not after the curse.
Now he was stronger he was superior, he would kill his brother and he would do it his way. And yet the knowledge was hallow, it didn't hold the comfort the he'd expected it to have. Instead it settled on his shoulders like a great weight.
With a tired sigh he stands and walks away from the boy whose fire and ambition would burn bright even if the world shunned him, even if he failed he would continue to fight.
Sasuke knew without a doubt that one day he would be forced to fight him again, he dreaded that day and yet looked forward to it with a dark desire to see how far he'd truly come.
He found that one of his hands was cupping the curse, and that it was raining.
Rain, it symbolized a new beginning. The washing away of the old, he decided that he liked the rain.
"Rain, will you wash away the blood that I have spilled? Will you wash away the pain that I have caused?" He knew there would be no answer and yet the question came bubbling out.
"I am like the rain, and Naruto is like fire" Yes, that was it. He was rain, and Naruto was fire natural enemies and yet comrades at times.
Fire and Rain. Rain and Fire, always separate and yet together at the same time, for without fire there would be no rain and without rain there would be no fire.
Rain
Fire
It would always separate them; cause them to clash be the reason for their dispute.
Fire
Rain
A never ending cycle of pain. Yet a beautiful cycle.
