"Nicholas! Look what I found, it's a book!" Yelped a younger yet exactly the same me, in our home in Paris in the thirteen-hundreds.
"Oh goody, a book!" My now ten-year old brother replied sarcastically.
"Don't be so boring Nick, this book may change the world one day." I countered.
"Well, currently, it's just a stupid old leather-bound space saver." Nicholas tried again.
"That's it, it'll save SPACE!" I enthusiastically cried while laughing.
"Cassandra Anne Flamel, did you do your chores yet!?" Our overprotective mother screeched.
I love her dearly, but she needs to let loose every once and awhile. "Yes Mother" Tsk. Tsk. Lieing. Bad Cassie. Hah!
"Well I still say it's just a stupid old book, and you shant change my mind intill you show me the secret to immortality or something."
(Has anyone else figures out who this 'Nicholas' charecter is yet) "well if it does, i'll find you so the two of us can live together foreva."
That was the promise that bound me to this planet, a promise made by two youngsters in play. The book really did hold the secret of immortality, but I could never figure the twisting, ever-changing, pages of the book I had no come to call Codex. I had hidden it, in my old room, and set off to find my own way to live forever. I did of course, in only a few months actually, which was a horrid choice because since then I looked as if I was 13.
I had watched over my Mother, Father, and brother till I watched my parents die off. Eventually I saw my brother marry and young women, Prenelle, I believe,
had watched them wed. A while later I had ventured into the Catacombs, and into the rescricted part. What I had found their was something I had not wanted, Mars Ultor.
That was a long story that ended with me getting my powers awakened.
Then I suffered as Nicholas found the retched book that lead me to hiding, watched him uncover the secrets himself, something I could never do. After that it got to much and I left for America. Lived there since.
I was physically 13 so I couldnt stay alone without a gaurdian, and I knew I didn't want one. But, then I found Leo, short for Leonardo DeVinci, and he took me in. For over five-hundred years we've been living together, him acting as my gaurdian me his daughter. He still dose'nt know I'm a Flamel. He thinks I don't know he's left-handed, but I do. (1)
Now I'm Cass Anne, the country singer. I don't know how I got hooked to it, but it might have something to do with being here through all it's ups and downs.
I was actually at my concert right now.

(1) back in Leonardos' time, people who were left-handed were considered children of the devil. Probubly because of the fact that before Leonardo was born the word 'left' meant 'sinister'. Stupid, right?!
Thank you for reading this, even if you think it was stupid. Well I guess that all there is to do now is say, PLEASE REVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!
