Rain. Crashing down

It hits the ground without care

Nobody

Nothing

That is what I see

In the rain

Hermione quickly scribbled furiously into her journal. She was penning the last few lines of a poem that had been plaguing her burdened heart for too long now. She sat in quiet with Ron and Harry, waiting to arrive at Hogwarts.

Neither Harry nor Ron knew how to comment on the change in Hermione's wardrobe. Gone were the clean cut blouses and sensible skirts. They had been replaced with a green and plaid pleated skirt that allowed the eye to see a majority of the torn black stockings she wore underneath. Her shirt was black and see-through. The tight fitting black corset saved her from scandal. Her eyes were now encased in thick lines of black, and her dark red lips chewed thoughtfully on her quill.

My heart is gone

Taken

For what?

Your shameless lies?

Never

Will this damned heart stop beating for you?

"Um…..Hermione?" Harry began to question her nervously.

"What?" she snapped.

Harry knew to retreat from the topic he wished to bring up, "Um… how was your summer?"

Hermione set down her quill and looked intently at the two young men.

"It was a dark black spiral into the abyss," she hissed.

"Oh."

It was the only response he could muster.

"Didn't….didn't you go to Euro Disney with your parents?"

Hermione's eyes grew wild with contempt.

"God! You just don't understand me! You're just content to be part of the flock! Sheep! You're sheep!"

Hermione was now standing and waving her arms around.

"My heart is dying! Can't you see? This whole summer horrible things happened to me! They're so horrible that I can't even begin to explain them to you."

"At Euro Disney?" Ron asked, very bewildered.

"Ahhh! You stupid pricks! Can't you see that my black heart is harboring tragic memories of constant rape and torture?"

There was a long silence that was broken by another question from Ron.

"At Euro Disney?"

"There's no use in living anymore! Nobody can sew my soul back together after these horrible events. Nobody can possibly put together the scattered puzzle pieces of my spirit! I leave my dead and bleeding heart on this train!"

With that, Hermione flung herself out of the window, screaming. Unfortunately they were passing over a bridge and her flailing body was swallowed up by the mists that hid just how far she would plunge.

Another long silence entered the compartment.

A very confused Ron turned to a very confused Harry.

"So….I guess Euro Disney sucks."
