Into the Nether

I was walking along the street, going through my daily morning jog, when I saw a sculpture type structure. When I looked at it, my vision shimmered slightly. "Weird," I thought. It was just sitting along the side of the street, and there was a path made of dirt, rocks, and some grass leading up to it. I wondered what it was. As I approached it, I noticed there was large, chrome, gates behind the structure. I was guessing this was the entrance. I wondered if I should go in. The gates were heavily padlocked, as if they were hiding something behind them. I heard strange whispers in my head. Those made me even more suspicious and so I wanted to go in. Weirdly, there was the key to get in sitting next to the gates, as if it wanted someone to get in. So I picked up the key, unlocked the doors, and stepped in. Suddenly, a blast of cold air swept through me like a hurricane, freezing me to the bone. I made a mental note to bring my jacket next time. I decided that this was not the place for me. But as I turned around, the doors closed with a slow CREAK, as if they were old wood instead of polished chrome. Then the padlocks appeared back on the gates! When I turned around, I found the floor was suddenly littered with bones and skeletons! Then the sky turned pitch black, and a thunderstorm started. Now I had some questions. I figured out the structure was made out of some type of black bricks. Then I saw an ominous purple light coming from in front of me. As I walked closer, I saw it was a huge rectangle, and the light was coming from that. Then all of a sudden thunder clashed! Then to my horror, the skeletons and broken bones started assembling themselves! They then started marching towards me! They started moaning. "Avenge!" "Avenge!" I stood in shock for a split second, and then started running away. Since the gates were padlocked, my last resort was to go into the purple light. As I stepped in, my vision started spinning and my head started aching. I was seeing separate visions, one world that is the one I am in now, and one with monsters, lava, fire, and even war raging everywhere. The last thing I thought before I blacked out was "What happened?"
