Tae Jun-Seo smiled and nodded as he listened to his manager chat with the rest of his band mates. He told himself he was happy to be there, despite the fact that he just wanted to get back to his hotel room and sleep. The tour was over, their final show in Tokyo having taken the last of his energy. He flew home the next day, back to his adoptive mother and their apartment in Seoul. He wouldn't actually fly, not with the dark gray wings he always hid under his clothes. When he got home, he would be able to do that too. When he could, he would go to the roof of whatever hotel he was staying at and go for a fly over whichever city he was performing in. However, tonight he was too tired to even do that. Weeks and weeks of travel had worn him out.
Ki-Soo, one of Jun-Seo's bandmates, made a joke that he didn't hear. Everyone else at the table laughed, and Jun-Seo chuckled along with them. However, he suddenly heard a ringing and tensed. It was a ringing only he could hear, the frequency beyond the ears of normal humans. He felt the phone in his pocket buzzing. His other phone, the one he'd hoped he'd never hear ringing.
"Excuse me, I have to take this," Jun-Seo said, taking out the archaic flip phone and giving a slight nod to the others at the table. He walked towards the door, though the security wasn't with him. He waved them off as they tried to follow, and made his way to an alley way as he accepted the call, "Hello?" He switched to English as he answered, unable to hide his anxiety. He'd knew things must have gotten bad if this phone rang. Really bad. He'd always hoped he'd be able to put the past behind him.
"Siren," An older woman's voice responded, "It's been too long. Nine years, I believe."
"What happened?" Jun-Seo asked, "Are the others safe? I know you didn't just call me to check in, Dr. Ackerman."
"They're safe. For now. But we won't be for long. I've contacted the others, they're going to be in New York City within the next week." The doctor's voice was calm as always. However, Jun-Seo recognised the edge that remained.
"I don't know if-"
"I know you've made quite a name for yourself. I know you idols have rules you must follow. But you and your siblings... Your lives depend on this. They're looking for you. And they're planning something. My sources have begun to go dark. Itex is trying to tie up loose ends. And you six... Well, you six are all in danger."
"I understand. I'll tell my mother. And I'll be taking the first flight from Tokyo tomorrow." Jun-Seo placed his hand against the wall of the alley way, "Goodbye, Dr. Ackerman."
"Farewell, Siren."
Jun-Seo hung up. He put the phone back in his pocket, then took out his other phone. He called his adoptive mother, his fingers shaking as he raised the phone to his ear.
"Mom...? I'm sorry."
Oh boy, here we go! It's time for an SYOC story! This story will follow six mutants created by Itex, each with avian and human DNA. They were all born at the School, but escaped ten years ago due to help from a worker there, and were sent off one year later to different parts of the world. None of them knew where the others were sent, and they were not allowed to keep in contact with each other. They are not blood siblings, but still totally a family. They are now being drawn back together out of their 'normal' lives into their old world of mutants and monsters.
If you are interested in having an OC in this story, please PM me the following form with your OC in it! My only rules are that your OC must have only human and avian DNA, and that they are not completely overpowered. Their powers must also be more simple than in the books, so that things don't get out of control. For example, Jun-Seo has a somewhat hypnotic singing voice. Other than that, go wild! Anyway, here is the form:
Legal Name: (What is their name on legal papers?)
Nickname / Lab Name: (What do the other mutants know them as?)
Age: (Between 15 and 19)
Gender: (Gender identity. Sex can be listed too, if it differs from their gender identity.)
Orientation: (What are they attracted to?)
Appearance: (Be sure to include what their wings look like.)
Style: (How do they dress?)
Personality: (What are they like?)
Power: (A single superpower.)
Occupation: (What did they do for work? If not, were they a student?)
Location: (Where were they sent?)
Adopted Family: (List their adoptive family and their relationship with them. Their parents should be aware they are mutants, but not necessarily the siblings if they have any.)
Friends: (Everyone has friends. Name a few and their relationship to the OC! They may come up later.)
Form is also in my profile!
