Chapter 1
Bells, Beds, and Boringness
It was 7:30 in the morning. Four young girls between the ages of 13 and 14 were sleeping in the bunk beds of their school dorm room. But there was not much normal about these four girls. These girls were half-magical humans. They were human in the sense of having flesh, teeth, other bones and all that, but had magical powers that had to be trained in order for them to...let's call it "graduate."
So there were four sleeping wizards, quietly residing in their dreamscapes until the bell would-
RIIIIIING!
"Wake up, girls!" Said one of the wizards. She had curly red hair with red freckles to match, gold circular glasses, and pajamas colored in various shades of purple.
She practically jumped out of her bed, got out of her pajamas and put on her uniform for the fall season- a long-sleeve dark purple shirt with a white collar, slipped on her maroon-purple skirt complete with pleats, and grabbed her light purple tie. She cautiously tied it under the collar of her shirt, grabbed her hat consisting of the three shades of purple mentioned before and carefully place it on her head. She made sure to be careful because there was a gemstone on her hat that resembled a flower. It was very important to her.
Slowly one of the other wizards got up. "Merleena...you know I need my beauty sleep..." The jet-black-haired wizard mumbled.
Merleena (the wizard in purple) replied with, "You can get more beauty sleep tonight, now get up! We're going to be late to breakfast!"
Another wizard named Hannah slowly got up. "It's already breakfast time?"
Gabby, the fourth wizard, still laying in bed, moaned, "Do they have anything I like this time?"
"Yes, you picky pinecone, they have food you like this time."
Gabby hesitantly responded with, "I'll get up, then." and flopped out of her bottom bunk.
The three wizards still in pajamas got into their uniforms. They looked like Merleena's uniform, but Hannah's being blue, the black-haired wizard named Ivy's being green, and Gabby's being gray and black.
"Everyone ready?" Merleena exclaimed.
"Yep." They all responded, still somewhat sleeping.
