Secrets:
Summary: Andrea and Milton are having an affair, and the Governor knows it. The two decide to make a run for it. A sweet little short on an ending I would prefer.
"You won't get close enough to kill him," I warned her. She looked at me with those blue eyes, I knew she felt completely lost.
Yes, she could go to the prison and tell the others. But that would be the first place Philip would look. And if she didn't kill him, then he kill her. We both knew it.
"I don't know what to do," She said her blonde hair falling in his face.
"You think he knows? I wish I could say he doesn't care, but I know better," I said moving closer to her.
"You mean about us? Yeah, somehow he knows about what happened. I doubt he cares though," Andrea said, almost blushing.
I found a small smile come to my face, thinking about how it all started with a kiss on the check when I stopped by her apartment. That kissed led to my arms on her shoulder, and then her lips on mine.
Once our lips met, we couldn't get undressed fast enough. I never been with a woman before, and had nothing to compare it with. But I could not imagine anything else feeling so right. It was as if Andrea and I belonged together.
"Philip cares all right. He claimed ownership over you since day one. That night we brought you here, he was fondling your breast while you slept. You are his obsession, Andrea. If you try to leave then he'll kill you, and if know about us then we are both good as dead," I said afraid.
I loved Andrea, more than anything. Did not want any harm to come to her. But he couldn't overpower Philip. He was not physically strong enough. What could they do.
"We have try to leave Woodbury. You and me. I've lost Amy. I lost Shane, and I can't lose you too," She begged me, her eyes felt with tears.
"He'll follow us if leave. I am so scared for you, and I know I can not protect you," I said knowing there was nothing we could do. I knew Philip well enough to know there would be no reasoning with him.
"We have to try Milton. I am not going to give up without a fight, and I can't stay here anymore. I did out of loyalty, but I can't support someone who is clearly disturbed. I want to save the townspeople, and hell I wish I could save the Governor too. Deep down, I know I can't. But you and I. We can make it. If we leave now. We won't go to the prison. We'll head and east. Just keep going," She says offering me her hand.
"And if Philip comes for us?"
"Then at least we will be together trying to make a run for it. That means something right? What do you say Milton. Will you leave all this behind? Start over with me?" She says, offering me her hand.
"Yes, I will," I said taking her hand, seeing that she genuinely cares for me when I look into her eyes.
"I will keep us save," she promises, but we both know it's a promise she can't keep.
It's only matter of time before Philip comes for us, and makes us pay for our betrayal. Sleeping with her was the worst thing I could do to him, but I couldn't regret it. Not when I was so deeply in love with her. I take whatever time I could get with her. Even if it was only a few hours, I decided following her lead.
