She never really expected it, but people – that policeman called Lestrade, John Watson, even Sherlock once – ask her how she is, and if she's feeling alright, and is she sure, because it would be terribly easy to just get her checked up, and remember to just tell them if she wants to do it because they would get it sorted out very quickly. None of them say his name, as if it was some sort of taboo. She works it out very quickly (no one expects her to be terribly clever, not with her cat and mug with the Wombles on, but forensic science is hard). They do it for her. They think she's scared of his name, they think that saying it in her presence will make her have a panic attack or something.

What no one understands is, she actually liked Jim.
