Percy's POV
The waves rolled gently along the shore, as I looked out upon the sea. Tomorrow was going to be my last day of camp and I really wondered what I was going to do with my life. I could become a marine biologist or mythology teacher. There were so many decisions that I have to make with my life but I have so little time. "Hey seaweed brain!" cried out a voice that broke me out of my thoughts. I turned around to see my girlfriend Annebeth standing 2 metres away from me.
"Hey wise girl" I replied with a smile as I hugged her.
"So are you thinking about your future?" said Annebeth in a quiet voice.
"Yea how did you know?" I replied.
"Well I am a daughter of Athena" said Annebeth in a smug voice. I sighed and turned to look at the ocean.
"I still don't know what I'm going to do with my life" I sighed. "I mean being a marine biologist would be cool and I'd get to spend tons of time in the water, plus I'd get to help marine life" I said uncertainly.
"Well I think you would be a great marine biologist" said Annebeth.
"Then it's decided" I said.
"A marine biologist huh...well at least I know what I'm doing now" I thought.
"Oh, Annebeth what are you going to be?' I asked.
"Um well I'm going to be an architect" said Annebeth in a small voice.
"Hey that's great, It's always what you wanted to be right" I said enthusiastically.
"Percy, I'll have to move to London and you...well you would have to move to America..." Annebeth said sadly.
"What! But why?" I asked. I didn't see why we'd have to go to different countries.
"Because that's where the schools for architecture and marine biologists are!" shouted Annebeth.
"Oh" was all I could say, because that meant Annebeth and I would probably never see each other again.
"Percy I don't think we should be together anymore" Annebeth said sadly.
"I-I-I understand" I said. My eyes started to water and I quickly wiped them away.
"Percy I'm sorry but I need to go now, I have to leave now if I'm going to make it for the start of the semester" said Annebeth.
"So this is good bye huh, well have a good life" I said and turned around not looking back, my heart felt like it had been torn right out of me.
"Percy I'm sorry" whispered Annebeth to herself. She then turned away to walk towards her new life.
