"I have a fiancée." the blue-haired man had said.
Erza was sitting quietly on the side of her King-sized hotel bed. The room had been expensive, and was full of luxuries most people will never be able to afford. But she didn't care. She sat there, and started to cry. Erza, the strongest female wizard of Fairy Tail, felt weaker than she had ever been. "Pathetic…" she whispered to herself as she thought about the reason for her tears.
She recalled the events that occurred earlier that evening. "I have a fiancée.". It was an obvious lie, but it still hurt her more than she had anticipated. He had lain on top of her, the rhythm of their heartbeat and the pattern of their breathing synchronized. The light from the setting sun was shining on their skin, giving them a golden glow. The pollen that looked like fairy dust slowly fell from the sky as their lips were about to meet. She had looked him lustfully in his deep, brown eyes. But just before his lips touched hers, he pulled away.
Thinking about it made Erza even more sad. Before he left with Crime Sorciere, she was able to hide her heartache. But when she was alone, she couldn't conceal it anymore. Now she was lying there, in the dark. She was lying there with a thousand questions, and no one to ask. Lying there wondering. Lying there, with a broken heart, sealed in armor.
What made him stop in the moment and pull away?
What caused him to lie to her? Did he not love her?
Was it all just an illusion in her mind? Or even worse, another lie?
Had he been pretending to love her? Was it a trick? No, it couldn't be.
All these questions clouded Erza's mind. But the only way for clouds to fade, is for rain to fall. And so with tears rolling down her face, she finally fell asleep.
