Hi! This is the first thing i have ever put up on this site (or any site for that matter), I've been a "guest" for a while and have finally decided to put myself out there, I've got nothing to risk but complete and utter embarrassment after all . This is super short and kinda weird but as a knew writer on the site i wanted to start with something small just to test the waters a bit.

~Prologue~

Soaked and cold as a stone, he put his glass down, curled under the blankets and fell.

Wind slapped the man in the face as he stepped out of the pub. He tugged his suede coat tighter around himself, as if to detach. Despite the hundreds of layers he had on he could still feel the caustic chill. Shoving his numb hands into his pockets he picked up his pace, walking brusquely. The air was as cold as he was. Ruddy faced, he stopped at a barren bus stop and waited. To his dismay, it began to pour. After years of standing in the frigid rain, the bus finally arrived.

On the bus, he met an exuberant, familiar stranger. The stranger was anything but nonchalant, so vivacious and happy.

Seeing the stranger's face, he felt he needed to explain, "I've been away-".

The stranger knew, and the man suddenly felt relief, he remembered.

"I'm happy to have you home", the stranger assured him.

~Epilogue~

Walking back, the man was no longer cold. At last he was home.
