There is a cold presence with evil intents. Chaos is all that is left behind.
The overgrown forest emits a strong smell of fresh blood. The gusts of wind dancing through the tree trunks carry the pleas for life of the latest monsters. The nearby wildlife that surrounds the forest runs away because of the cold chills and sense of danger.
Inside of the forest is a young elf covered from head to toe in blood. A cold, bloodthirsty smile displayed upon his face.
"This is wonderful!" He exclaims to no one in particular.
Puddles of blood are all over the forests ground, splattered over the bark on the large trees and dripping from the leaves entangled in the tree branches. Random wolf legs and a few decapitated wolf heads are scattered around the vicinity. Around a dozen wolves are piled on top of each other, each having had their stomachs cut clean in half.
The young elf pulls his hand up towards his face and wipes his blood stained hair out of his face, flicking away excess blood that had been dripping onto his cheeks.
He sheaths his sword away, walks over to a pile of sacks on the floor and picks them up - the unforgettable sound of coins jingling. His smile broadens. Nothing feels better than getting loot the easy way.
A scream echoes throughout the forest, bringing the young elf back to reality. He spins on his heel to the direction it came from. He throws the money into his inventory and races off in the direction of the screaming, forgetting that he's completely drenched in blood.
A young human girl is collapsed on the floor in a small opening that is deeper within the forest. A small group of zombies are advancing towards her slowly. Why hasn't she just run away? The elf jumps in between the girl and the zombies, causing the girl to finally stop screaming. The elf grabs hold of the sabre and jumps towards the first zombie. He swiftly pulls his sabre out and swings effortlessly at the zombie, slicing right through the middle of it. The attack was so fast and strong that it continued on through to the last zombie.
The girl looks as if to be in a state of shock. The elf turns to face her, sabre still to hand - terrifying sight. Tears fill her eyes, threatening to ruin her perfectly applied make up. The elf advances towards the girl, kneels down and offers her a hand.
"You're alright now, Miss." He whispers softly. She looks unsure on how to handle the situation.
"Y-You're covered in blood!" She finally stutters. The elf looks at his hand and laughs nervously.
"Yeah, I was hunting for loot from some wolves. I must have gotten a little carried away." He wipes his hand on the ground, removing the dried blood from it. "I'm Prince." She gracefully accepts his offer of helping her to her feet.
"I'm Mei Ling," She starts, "Thank you for helping me, Prince." She pats herself down and straightens up.
Mei Ling stands taller than Prince. Her long chocolate brown hair sits around her waist in a wavy fashion, her blue dress floats out as if she were under water with it on. Her blue eyes suddenly widen and her mouth begins to move fast. It looks like she's private chatting with her team mates. Prince looks around his surroundings, nobodies nearby.
"Prince, I have to go now. Thanks again for helping me!" She waves him goodbye and skips off in the direction of the nearest town. What a strange character, Prince thinks to himself. He heads back to where the wolves were, in hope that they have re-spawned. He did have some time to kill before Odd Squad signed on, of course.
