This is a weird twist to 'The Office' where the Scranton branch was absorbed by

the Stamford Branch instead of the other way around

PS, this is the first day

It was a cool, dry spring morning, the first day of the merger between the Scranton and Stamford Branches. Josh was the first into the office, followed by Andy, Jim, Tony, Hannah, Karen, Martin and the other employees of the branch. They were getting ready to have the new employees come in.

"Ok, so this desk is for Dwight Schrute." Josh said, he put a card on the desk that displayed Dwight's name on it.

"Awesome, who's next?" Andy asked.

"Phyllis Lapin." Josh placed a name card on that desk.

"Sweet!"

"Stanley Hudson… Oh, he's not coming, he took the severance." Another card.

"And this one says Michael Scott; I told him I would find him a place."

CONFESSIONAL: Josh

"I don't know if hiring Michael was the best idea, when I told Jan that Michael was going to be a salesman here, she looked at me and said 'Oh… that's a brave decision'."

"Alright, Accounting."

"Angela Martin." He set down another card.

"Rockin!"

"Kevin Malone," he placed another card, "And Oscar Martinez... He took severance too? Oh, it reads 'I'm not working with that nut job, and that is final!' Well alright then." One more card on the next desk.

"The Customer Service girl is Kelly Kapoor; she will sit across from Tony over here." He put Kelly's name card on her desk.

"Creed Bratton and Meredith Palmer sit next to Martin." Andy said. Josh put two cards down.

"Are we missing anybody?"

"Nope, we are all good. Lookin' good in the neighborhood. Applebee's."

CONFESSIONAL: Andy

"I am the office funny guy, everybody laughs at my jokes."

"Alright, let's get ready for the arrival of our new friends." Josh Said.

Dwight walked in first, he went up to the reception desk, "Hello, Dwight Schrute, where do I sit."

"Hold on, let me get Josh," he pushed some buttons on her phone, "Josh? Dwight Schrute is here."

Over intercom, Josh replied, "Alright, I'll be right out." Josh came out of his office. "Hi, Dwight, nice to see you again. Follow me and I'll show you to your desk." Dwight and Josh went over to Dwight's desk. "Here we are."

"Alright, thank you very much. Is my desk next to Michael Scott's?" Dwight asked.

"Yeah, he's right across from you." Josh pointed at the desk across from him.

Next to arrive was Kevin Malone. "Hi, I'm Kevin."

"Ok," The receptionist said. "Josh, Kevin Malone is here."

"Ok." Josh said. He hung up the phone and came out. "Hello, follow me." They went over to Kevin's new desk.

"Thanks, man." He fist bumped Josh.

Later, more and more of the employees from the former Scranton Branch.

"Alright, well, I'd like to welcome all of you to the Post-Scranton and Stamford- or Scramford- merger." Josh said. Andy chuckled. "Ok, well, I'll be in my office if you need anything. Well have a meeting later, explaining what will be going on."

"Attention everybody." Michael Scott, former regional manager of Dunder Mifflin Scranton said. "I have announcement."

"Michael, you don't get to…" Josh was cut off.

"I would just like to say that it is going to be wonderful to work with all of you, especially Josh. He is a great manager and a better salesman."

"Thank you, Michael."

Dwight scoffed. "He's not a better salesman than me."

"Well alright, then." Josh went into his office.
