Harry sat alone in an abandoned classroom in a window well staring out toward the horizon, but seeing nothing. He was beyond tears. Anger surged through every vein in his body. He wanted to scream and curse the person who did it, wanting nothing more then to find Bellatrix and kill her. She had taken away someone that meant more to him than his own life. She would pay for taking Sirius from him and he were not the one to bring about this justice he would praise the person who would.

Harry had no way to express his pain and anger. He grabbed the sides of his head and clutched his hair in his hands. His teeth were clenched and his eyes shut. He childishly hoped that if he closed them tight enough maybe things wouldn't be the same when he opened them.

He did not hear the door open and soft footsteps walking toward him. He did not even register that any one was there until he felt a gentle hand on his shoulder. Unwillingly he opened his eyes and looked up at Hermione and then to Ron who stood next to her.

"Harry, it'll be okay. Not now, but it will be," Hermione said softly as if saying it any louder would shatter everything keeping his anger and pain from collapsing the world around him. Harry turned his head away and clenched his fists, digging his fingernails into his palms trying to replace some amount of the pain with physical pain. She had no other words that could soothe the ache in Harry's heart and Ron knew better than to try to find any. They both mourned over the state of agony and hatred that Harry was in.

"It is okay to cry," Hermione said.

"I can't," Harry said regretfully, through clenched teeth. "I'm beyond that."

"It will all be okay."

"How do you know?" Harry snapped. "How do you know that all this won't just continue to happen? What if everyone I love disappears all because of me?"

"Harry, I don't know what is going to happen, but I assure you we will be with you every step of the way," Hermione assured him.

Harry couldn't look at them, "I'm not sure I can ask you to do that. I don't want to lose you guys too. You two are the world to me."

Those words hung in the air and when he finally turned to look at them again he saw tears welled up in Hermione's eyes. She flung her arms around him, "Harry, I'm so sorry for what she did, but that can't stop you from not accepting the help of others. We are here not because we have to be, but because we want to be."

Harry hugged her back and looked up at Ron who gave him a sad smile, "Don't push us out, mate."

Harry nodded and felt a little of the pain slip away into the moment.
