The Road walked alone

The Road walked alone

The road is cold, barren, dark

Devoid of everything warm and kind

Along this path I do trudge

Redemption is what I hope to find

Screaming memories I do bear

Torturous scenes that I have wrought

Their heavy weight tears my heart and soul

How can my conscience be truly fought

The others are obvious to my struggle

Immune to my cries of pain

As I stumble weakly down

Salvation's thin and rocky lane

This path must be walked alone

Its torments endure without repose

For you see the bitter truth is

This road, is the path I chose
