Title: Waiting

Fandom: Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE

Pairing: Touya/Yukito

Rating: PG

Word Count: 327

Summary/Description: Touya will wait. Yukito will too.

Warning/Spoilers: Blissfully spoiler free. Shounen-ai. (Uhm… duh?)

A/N: Another first pairing attempt. I haven't seen any interaction between these two in the series except for in the first episode, and though I'm relatively up to date with the manga, I missed out on some chapters. So, I had to draw inspiration from that one episode, and some fragmented memories of Card Captor Sakura. Other than that, I more or less pulled details out of my ass.

Dedication: For Michiru-san. :-)

Disclaimer: Not mine. Stop gloating, CLAMP.

Yukito found the young king standing at the palace windows, staring out into the vista pensively. A hand clutched the sill tightly. The High Priest wondered if the dark-haired man was even aware that he was doing so.

"She will come back one day," he said softly, moving up to stand next to him. His King looked down at him, gave a brief smile.

"I know," he said shortly, turning back to the rolling landscape of Clow. He believed that. He had to believe that, that someday, Sakura would return… Return with that brat, who had so suddenly spirited his little sister away from him. Touya's moue hardened into a thin line. That little logical voice in the back of his mind that he really didn't care much for told him that none of what had transpired was the archaeologist's fault in the slightest. He squashed logic, ruthlessly.

"That damn kid," he muttered. Yukito could just catch the hitching, barely-there note of helplessness in his tone. He stepped a mite closer.

"I'm sure Syaoran-kun is doing everything in his power to protect the princess," he said soothingly, "and to retrieve her memories."

"Humph." The navy-haired youth folded his arms across his chest. His brows furrowed, and Yukito couldn't help but think how cute he looked when he brooded like that.

"You mustn't worry so much, Your Highness."

Murky brown eyes jumped to his.

"What did I tell you about that, Yukito?" The look in his eyes warmed slightly as he took in his childhood friend. "When we're alone, you don't have to be so formal."

The blond returned the smile, blushing faintly.

"Yes, Touya."

In a few moments, the king turned away, huffing slightly as he expelled a puff of air. His eyes lazily stroked the vista.

"In any case, I'll be waiting, for her."

The High Priest nodded warmly as he inched closer to his King, his comrade, his friend.

"And I'll be waiting with you."

A/N: Oh, God, they're being cute. ;P Let me know how you like it/don't like it/hate it/think it should be put down like a rabid dog.
