Waiting for the Heartbreak
by: Terrell James
Aang came over to Katara's house and decides to tell her something very tragic. She answered the door and said, "Aang? What's wrong?"
"I have to tell you something." said Aang.
"What is it?"
"Well, I have to go away to London for 5 months, so I won't be able to see you anymore." said Aang.
Katara looked very shocked and said, "How come?"
"One of my family passed away and I have to comfort some of my cousins. They just like to have me around for a long time. My family said it's only for 5 months." he said.
Katara sighed sadly and said, "So, you won't be coming back."
"I'll come back. Can you wait for 5 months?" he asked.
"Can we keep in touch?" she asks.
"I've got my e-mail and cell phone number. We'll keep in touch with each other while I'm in London." said Aang.
"Well, that's okay. I'm gonna miss you." said Katara.
"I'll miss you too." said Aang.
He sees the car starting, looked back at Katara and said, "Well, I'll see you around."
"Yeah, see you." said Katara.
Aang got in the car and drives away. All Katara could do is stare at the car and waved goodbye to him. Aang saw her waving goodbye and waves back. She sighed and went back inside the house. Hours later, she thought of Aang and realizes that she could've said something to him and figure out that they're more than just friends. She puts on her CD player and sings along to the song to make the lonely feelings go away.
It's the same old story
Boy meets girl then drifts apart
Though the plot line bores me
I know it's gonna break my heart
And you run on...
And you run
And you run...
I'm waiting for the heartbreak
I'm waiting for the rest of my time to come
I'm waiting for the heartache
I'm waiting for the rest of my time to come
And you run on
And you run
I'll seek whatever comes
It's such a lame thing
(such a lame thing)
I guess we knew it had to end
Do we say the same thing
Like I hope that we can still be friends
And you run on...
and you run
and run
I'm waiting for the heartbreak
I'm waiting for the rest of my time to come
I'm waiting for the heartache
I'm waiting for the rest of my time to come
And you run on...
And you run
I'm waiting for the heartbreak
I'm waiting for the path that lies beyond
Are we doing the right thing?
We'll just have to wait and see
It's been forever
We been together
It just wasn't meant to be
Maybe, baby, we're just lazy
Lately, everything's so havy
Maybe, baby, we've gone crazy too
I'm waiting for the heartbreak
I'm waiting for the rest of my time to come
I'm waiting for the heartache
I'm waiting for the rest of my time to come
And you run on..
and you run
I'm waiting for the heartbreak
I'll seek whatever comes!
After the song ended, Katara looked up at the window and let out one tear. She whispered to herself, "I love you, Aang. I'll be waiting for you to come home in 5 months. I hope to tell you how I really feel about you."
This was inspired by Savvy and Mandy's song, "Waiting for the Heartbreak." If you haven't heard of them, check out Radio Disney or YouTube (if you're already a member there, but myself.) This song and story is both awesome and cute! Read and review, please!
