Day 1: Holding Hands
The girl sitting next to me… Is too beautiful…
Her silky blue hair, and matching gemstone eyes,
Go perfectly with the gentle, comely smile that always graces her lips.
It's a cool spring day, not a cloud in the sky.
She wanted to spend the day with me in the park,
So here we are, sitting on a bench only inches apart.
We don't need to touch, or even speak to convey our feelings to one another.
But you see, the two of us are girls…
So naturally, anyone else would think we're just good friends.
I know it shouldn't bother me,
But for some reason I just can't help but want to make it clear.
I run my fingers over hers,
And she looks over at me, her face full of surprise.
But surprise fades away into a shy grin,
And she laces her fingers with mine.
Her blush only deepens when I pull her closer,
Giving her hand a gentle squeeze.
Some might say it's wrong,
Hell, there might have been a time when I thought it was wrong.
But through all the pain, and all the tears…
No one can take away the warmth and comfort,
That we feel when the other is near…
'I love ya, Sayaka!'
'Hehe, I love you too Kyoko!'
So, I found the 30 Day OTP Challenge and since I'm feeling a little lost in my writing right now, I'm hoping I can find a groove by starting on this! I currently don't have access to my own computer right now and am having a minor health issue, but I should still be able to do this consecutively.
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed! -Lily
