After a few more hours of racing the brothers stopped to allow the horses to rest. Looking over the edge of hill at the wonderment of Chang an "you know" ling began "it is a good life we lead" "and may we continue to live it" finished Zhang.
"Hang on what's that" said Liang after noticing a pillar of smoke rising from the distance looks like the turbans are destroying another village do you think that they'll come here asked zhang worried no replied Liang there no merit in it just the slaughter of the people they claim to protect come on lets go before father catches us and makes us muck out the horse for the next week laughed zhang nah I cant be bothered said liang fine get in trouble not my problem said zhang angrily oh my god screamed liang as a arrow periced his shoulder no shouted zhang and ran back to his brother shhh shhh its only a flesh wound you'll live he whispered not for long though a voice rose from behind them there stood a man 5"6 tall muscular and holding a curved sword. Stand he ordered zhang obeyed and stood proud come on finish it kill me he screamed but he had a smile plastered on his face the man rose his hand and laughed. His hand fell but to his surprise no sound was made he looked around to see his sword not in the young mans neck but in the grip of the young boy who by know was grinning like the Chester cat the look on the mans face was the cue zhang was waiting for he pulled the sword free from it owners hands and plunged it into his chest you never forget the sound flesh makes when its cut or the noise a human makes as he slowly bleeds until he becomes one with the earth.
Zhang attached to sword to his belt and retuned to his brother who by now had bleed considerably and wasn't going to survive liang look at me said zhang look at me. There was no response just the blood hitting the ground and the sound of his brothers last breathes.
