~Prologue~

The first time I met Thomas was the first day of Metias' job. Metias came home, limping slightly with his arm wrapped around a man that I never met. I immediately blamed this man for whatever happened to my older brother, even when Metias tried to explain that this man, Thomas, had actually saved my brother's life.

After then, Thomas was always in our lives, usually picking me up with Metias when I did something wrong, and when he arrived at our door-step, his face grave, I knew something was wrong.

He surprisingly comforted me when no one else could and urged me to track down the killer.

As I tracked down my brothers killer, I ended up in a street fight with a knife wound. Luckily, a boy the same age and a little girl managed to patch me up enough to get me through the few days. When I told Thomas, he sounded concerned, demanding to know if he had to come out there to check on it himself and I felt pleased to know he cared so much.

Though it was obvious that the boy who had saved me did indeed like me, I felt no actual care for him and was utterly disgusted when he pressed his lips against mine, though I tried to go through it as calmly as I could. He saw that I didn't enjoy the kiss, and ended up ignoring me before disappearing toward his family.

I followed him and it ended up that he was protecting his family, earning Notes to get the cure for his little brother. I was not pleased when Thomas ended up shooting his mother, though I didn't comment on it.

I soon realized the way Thomas had starting acting toward me...
