Life after war
Now everything were at peace, that meant no work for us, no need to fly to the deep great space, fighting and all that we used to do. So we set down here in Corneria in a military base, it was huge, so it look like a small city.
Peppy become a general, he took the place of Pepper, Sleppy got a job in the tech facility of militia and some time in private companies like freelancer, now at days we barely see him around. Fox finally get married and now he have a Son named Marcus, they live here, Fox works like strategist in militia and sometimes we do missions. Krystal now like mother, she takes care of both foxes and also she work in relationships in militia near by Fox.
As for me, well… I took a classroom for flying space lessons for some kids, they say they are the best of military flyers, but they don't even know how to do a proper barrel roll. Sometimes Fox and I fly to some missions. My free time is boring, cause when I want to fly I need to ask for permission, (permission?), what the heck is that?, anyway the worst is today, I got permission denied…
So I decided to take a walk and give this day as end, even if I had a meeting later, that I didn't want to assist anyway. So I took a walk outside of the bulding, there were no people out there, contrary to the traffic, it was quite obvious it was work hours and there had un-manned vehicles. There I was walking slow with my hands in the pockets looking to nowhere when I heard a familiar voice saying "Marcus wait for me", it was Fox shouting to his son who was far away from him, probably they were playing a race again and Marcus won him again.
Marcus pass right at my side running (very fast) when I heard that Fox calling me, then I stop and look to Fox who was far behind, he was shouting something, that I didn't understand, when he pointed to Marcus. He had stop running in the middle of a cross road looking for Fox, when I realize he was standing there when still was green light, my heart beat, and I start running as fast as I can, I saw near left in the road a truck heading this way, I used my spin to grab Marcus just in time, when the truck passed one foot step behind us.
Red light, everything stops, my hands shake a little, I grab the hand of Marcus who was a little scared and we walk back to his father, who was kneeling down and with his both arm wide open to grab Marcus, Fox face was something I had never seen before, kind of scary kind of someone were taking away his heart, you know what I mean, both were hugging when I walk back to the building leaving them behind, when Fox look for me and shout "Thanks!", I just wave back without seen them.
"That is what happened early, just that, I promise" Falco say
"Ok… sorry it's just get worried when I feelt something in that hour when I was in the middle of a meeting that you didn't attend by the way" said Krystal finally breathing.
"Don't worry, you know Fox is a great father" Falco tried to justified his bestfriend.
Krystal just gave him a smile back.
