Another baby!angel oneshot. I posted this on my tumblr a long time ago but I figured I should post it on here as well. ^_^
"Balfie! Why can't you ask him?!"
"Because Cas: you were the one who wanted to know!"
"You want to know too!"
This was the conversation Gabriel heard while he was trying to rest. Of course he was supposed to be watching Balthazar and Castiel right now, giving them flying lessons and all that, but this was Gabriel. They may be two of his favorite little fledglings, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to slack off.
"Come on Cas!"
"Balfie! I can't!"
Gabriel groaned. He knew this wasn't going to stop anytime soon. He sat up and looked over at the two little fledglings who were face to face with one another. If they hadn't interrupted his rest it would have been pretty damn adorable. The young archangel walked over to the fledglings. Cas and Balth turned to look up at him.
"So…what are you two arguing about?"
Gabriel arched an eyebrow as Balthazar pushed Castiel forward.
"Cas has something to tell you."
The younger of the two fledglings glared back before looking up at Gabriel.
"Balfie and I wanted to ask you a question."
"Ask away Cassie." The fledgling mumbled under his breath. "Speak up. Can't here ya kid."
"How do you humans have babies? Daddy made us and he made the first of them, but they keep having more. We want to know how."
Gabriel tried not to snort with laughter. He had a feeling this was all Balthazar's doing. Castiel was fascinated by humans, but he loved watching the flowers and animals more. He shot Balth a look before looking back at Cas.
"Remember, you wanted to know." He sat down on the ground and motioned for the two fledglings to sit in front of him. They sat and Gabriel looked over at them. Michael was going to kill him for this. "Well you see, when humans decide they want to have a baby, it's a little more complicated. First off you need a male and a female to make a baby. That male and female go somewhere special and take off all of there clothes before they get into a bed with each other. Nine months later a baby is born."
Gabriel stared, studying their reactions. Balthazar looked calm and collected. Castiel ,on the other hand, looked slightly confused.
"How does getting naked in a bed together make a baby?" Castiel asked. Of course Balthazar wanted to know too but he wasn't going to say it out loud.
"Well you see…" Gabriel then went into the finer points of sex. Castiel's expression went from confusion to sheer horror with every word Gabriel said. Balthazar still looked the same, not giving anything away. "…and that's why that makes a baby."
Castiel was hyperventilating. Gabriel didn't feel bad because the kid had asked for it.
"Thanks for clearing that up, Gabe. See you later."
Balthazar got up and went to go join the other fledglings. Gabriel turned his attention back to Castiel who hadn't moved a centimeter since he had stopped talking.
"Cassie? You okay buddy."
The fledgling looked up at him with giant eyes before disappearing. Gabriel sighed. If Michael found out he was really going to get it.
Gabriel looked everywhere for the fledgling but couldn't find him in any of his usual hiding spots. He looked for him for three days, after being reamed by Michael for losing him in the first place. He let out a sigh. The kid had asked. It was his fault.
