This is the reflection of my love. This is the reflection of my life. This is the reflection of my death.
She was the only one.
Her light flooded through my darkness when I could no longer see. She was my savior. In return, I had to save her. I refused to allow her light to be blackened by the poison of this world.
I have protected her.
Despite the pain in my body as I slowly deteriorated, I devoted the remainder of my life to protecting her. I gladly sacrificed my safety to stop her tears. I could never stand to see her cry.
To my dying day, this day, I have loved her.
I tried to direct her towards happiness that would suit her, toward Ruka, but she refused to be swayed. My small indulgences, a stolen kiss, a caring embrace, stole her heart away. I could do nothing to prevent it.
Now, as I depart, I can no longer stop her tears.
I know that she is forever safe, protected by others who love her. This life of mine has had purpose, and I die happy basking in the light of her love.
A parting kiss from her given, no longer stolen. I wish her happiness, knowing the glow on her face and the growth of her body. A love of hers… and mine.
