6Walking in to the office Akechi finds Sae on her laptop working hard, as usual her frown staying with her as if saying 'leave me alone I'm busy'. Akechi had sat down in his designated seat to do his own work however he found his self to be distracted quite a lot by his associate.

Not that she was bothering him in anyway she was just getting on with her work. But it seemed that a sort of 'admiration' had had him distracted

Akechi admired her not just as his senior but the way she acted. This was a women who was working a job that was mostly for men and brought up her little sister by herself yet... when she had smiled she showed almost no wrinkles and her hair was natrually silver so If someone was to be with her whilst she was still in a good mood, there would be no physical signs of stress.

On top of that Akechi had picked up that she was quite a hard to get women from whena they had to talk about business getting sushi and a man had tried to hit on her. She was not as jumpy or easly won over like other women.

And also-

''Akechi...'' Her voice had broken his train of thought.

''Oh um, yes Sae.'' since he was being talked to so abruptly he struggled to find the words. And since this was someone that he had 'admired' it would seem to be a bit harder. He had even forgotten to adress her in the proper way.

''Are you okay? You seem to be spacing out quite a lot lately.'' Sae reached out to touch his forehead making him blush slightly when contact was made.

''You seem flushed yet-''

''I-I'm fine Sae-san... Just a little tired that's all hehe.'' Akechi had backed away with a nervous laugh.

''Are you sure? Your behaviour seem's ,well.. off.'' Said Sae.

''I'm fine as I had said I'm just a little, tired that's all.'' Akechi stated getting into a comfortable position at his desk.

''Would, you be willing to go out for a cup of coffee later? You know at lablanc .'' Asked Akechi desperate to change the subject

''What's with the sudden request, Akechi? You just want to change the subject don't you.'' This time he knew how to respond.

''What's the point in asking a question you would already know the answer to. Besides that may not be the only reason I requested for you to have coffee.'' This made Sae show a slight smile.

''What's the other reason?'' Akechi Smirked back.

''Well you do seem to know all of the answers. After all-''

''Are you just mocking me now?'' Sae said in a slightly intimidating tone.

''I was about to say that you knowing the answer to everything is the reason why you solved all these cases.'' Sae seemed quite shocked as did Akechi; he didn't even know why that had come out. However, Sae was shocked just by how he had reacted after he had spoken.

''Gh, s-sorry if I spoke out of line Sae-sa-''

''It's alright nothing about that was really out of line, normally you wouldn't react to somthing like this that you had just said so negatively. Are you, sure your okay I've never seen you act so nervous before.'' For no apparent reason Akechi had started fidgeting with the tip of his glove.

He to had been noticing this strange behaviour and had found it odd when he didn't act this way whilst on TV. He didn't know how to respond to her when she had noticed this behaviour to.

''You know what, forget coffee. It's not good at this time of day, so why don't we just get some ramen or something. There's a n-'' Akechi was interrupted by Sae.

''You're doing it again.'' She implied.

''Doing what?'' He asked.

''Changing the subject. You seemed bothered everytime I point out your behaviour and try to change the subject as you did now and start fidgeting with your glove.'' She really was a good detective if she could point out all these things from him.

''This never happens at interviews even If the news reporter comes at me abruptly.'' Akechi frowned trying to find the conclusion his self .

''I some what make you uncomfortable or nervous don't I?'' Scrap good detective, she was a really good detective.

''N-no not at all! Don't get me wrong but to me your a really good person to socialise with and easy to talk to, however I can't see any reason why you would make me feel uncomfortable or nervous, if any thing, your more comfortable to be around.'' That last part he had not meant to say loud enough for her to hear however she did -Wait is she blushing, well this is a rare sight-.

Akechi cheaked his watch 8:00 it had read. ''We should get going, so Sae you want to come with me.'' Sae cheaked her own watch.''I guess we should, are we still going out for ramen?'' Sae said standing up.

''Yeah of course we are.'' they walked out of the office.

''Are you comeing with me then?'' Sae asked.

''Yes, there's no point in me going home then coming back by public transport, besides it's late enough as it is.'' Akechi smiled slightly for no reason

''I believe it's your turn to pay this time.'' His smile faded at her saying that.

''Alright, if you insist. By the way do you have plans tomorrow?'' Sae turned to him.

''Yeah I do acctually, why'd you ask?'' Akechi found himself struggling for the words again as he himself didn't know what to respond with, he didn't even know what he said the words were blurted out.

''W-well, um. I don't really know, Ahaha.'' His only option was honesty.

''You're acting weired again. Akechi is something up? And don't change the subject this time.'' Now he ws stumped, and this time honesty wasn't an option, well it acctually kind of was.

''I, really don't know. I keep on saying from a lack of sleep and I do believe that it's the case however I don't know what's really causing it you know. It's weired.'' He wasn't lying when he said she was easy to talk to.

''Get on the car and we will discuss that on the way. First I need to know where we're going.''

''It's not that far, it's called energising cup.'' Sae gave him a sarcastic look.

''Really are you sure.'' Akechi smiled her.

''Posative.'' With that bold statement they drove off.

RANDOM TIME LAPSE TO RESTAURANT.

''This place is pretty packed'' Stated Akechi.

''Why did you want to come here of all places? You said that it wasn't that far away and we drove for about 30 minuets.'' Akechi could tell that she was pissed, then again who isn't when it's 8:47 in the evening and you're hungry.

''It didn't seem so long to me.'' Sae frowned.

''I don't know what world you were living in at the time. You were probably spacing out again.'' she said.

''Hey, don't make fun of me when I space out ok. It means I'm deep in thought.'' At that moment the waitress had just come to take their order.

''Exuse me but are you ready to order?'' The waitress took one look at Akechi and she was already under his spell.

''Yes acctually, I will have the ramen with miso pork please.'' Akechi stated.

''Right one miso pork, and you ma'am.''

''I'll take the udon please.''

''That Is acctually our signature dish.'' Said the waitress.

''Then I have high expectations.'' Sae said boldly. The waitress soon left after she taken the order for their drinks.

Sae took her phone out to check her emails and messages whilst Akechi took his book out to begin to read the nenext chapter of his detective novel.

However he found his self just looking at the word and not acctually reading then. He had gotten distracted again in the world of 'admiration'. This time he felt as though somthing was wrong, not with his world but with Sae. Like she had reasently had somthing done to her.

This time he had his eyes fixed on her, desperately wanting to know what's wrong. He did notice how weired it would look if he was scanning his senior so the best option would be... to start conversation.

''So Sae...'' This was going off to a great start.

''Hm?'' Sae turned her attention towards Akechi.

''Has anything happened resently?'' Sae gave him a curious look when Akechi had asked the question.

''Well something has been taking place, however I don't think It will take your concern.'' Was this what was different.

''I'm pretty sure I want to know.'' Said Akechi pressing for an answer.

''Okay, I'm in a relationship.'' Akechi didn't know what was going on in his head is was like a mixture of shock, suprise. And at times even jelousy and maybe a little bit of anger.

''S-so who, is this person you are going out with.''

''Erie, Erie Shadou.'' Akechi's anger had sparked at the name, Erie Shadou, he was one of the people he had dispised the most. Erie's suck up attitude had everyone thinking that he was the most well behaved and and made it as though everyone was below him and he was on top due to his position as the SUI director's right hand man.

On top of that he had Sae in his clutches, the person he had 'admired' so dearly was going to be taken away from him.

''Oh, really I,um , hadn't known that. Congra..tulations.'' The struggle with his words had increased dramatically. -That ,fucking asshole- he thought

''Thank you. so anything special happening with you lately?'' She asked. Akechi was half in his world and half out, he had comprehended the situation well however the words, again, were struggling to come out.

''N-n-not much r-eally.'' Sae's expression had changed at the sudden amount of stuttering, she felt like he was hiding something but couldn't put her finger on it.

''Something's up and don't deny it Akechi. What is it?'' She observed his behviour carfully for the past few days and had picked up the sudden nervousness he had.

''W-w-well it's-'' He was soon interupted by the waitress.

''Here's you food.'' She had said with a smile on her face before setting down the food on the table and walking away.

''I'll... tell you later.'' They started eating their food and had a bit of small talk now and again but that was pretty much it. At the end of their meal Akechi had managed to change the subject, making Sae forget to get an answer from him had completey forgotten about the question before. They said their fair wells and went their seperate ways to rest for the upcoming day.

Akechi was nervous on his way home and for the up coming day, that question still unanswered, and maybe a little anger directed to who he had called 'that rat bastard'. -I knew Sae was a hard to get women but, out of all the people... why him?- At the moment he didn't know whether to run back after her or to punch something.

Unfortunatally it was the second option, and it hurt him alot on the outside, but it was nothing compared to what he felt on the inside.
