"Alright! I'm all fired up!" Natsu roared as he was using various Dragonslayer techniques.
Team Natsu was assigned a mission to take back a small town from a large group of bandits. They made up a plan to sneak in a hold the leader hostage so that his group would surrender. Of course, it didn't go as planned. Natsu ran in anyways and decided to take on the bandits himself.
"Natsu! Cease this at once!" Erza shouted at him attempting to control him but she failed.
Usually, Erza wouldn't care about Natsu fighting their enemies in any way he chose to, but they were told to keep the damage to a minimum since the houses belonged to the townspeople that lived there.
"C'mon Erza lighten up! This was a piece of cake I need to let off some steam!"Natsu yelled while shooting intensely hot fire from his mouth.
"Man, it's sad how the only bright thing about him is his fire. Lucy, can you stop him while Erza, Happy and I tie up all of these guys?" Gray asked
"WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP THAT!?" She pointed at the dragonslayer who was laughing maniacally. If anyone saw the scene it would look like Natsu was the villain here.
"I don't know, just try anything, whip him, summon a spirit, flash him just anything so he'll stop being such a dumbass," Gray instructed Lucy. She sighed and lowered her head. She could protest but she knew the longer she did the more the town would get destroyed which meant less reward money and scolding.
"Natsu can you cut it out! There's no one left to fight!" At this point, Natsu was flailing around the place on fire in a frenzy. He turned to Lucy with bloodlust in his eyes.
"Yes there is Lucy, I'm looking at her right now?" Natsu said grinning. Lucy was confused at first looking behind her until she realized what he had meant.
"Y-you wouldn't attack a friend, you're not a monster!" Lucy tried to convince him but no dice.
"There ain't nothin with a lil spar, get ready!" Natsu charged at Lucy at full speed.
Lucy shrieked as she dodged the first attack. Natsu crashed into a small house.
"Lucy! I told you to stop him! Don't encourage the idiot!" Gray shouted while still occupied by the bandits
"Read the situation! Does it look like I'm having fun?!" Lucy cried out dodging Natsu's attacks. "Open! Gate of the Virgin, Virgo!" Lucy took out Virgo's keys and summoned the loyal maid.
"Do you wish to punish me, princess?" Virgo Asked running alongside her with her usually stoic face on.
"The only want that needs punishment here is him! Take care of him!" She ordered. Lucy was usually nicer to her disobedient spirits but now wasn't the time. She was in peril.
Virgo saluted her master and dug underground in a matter of seconds. Virgo grabbed onto Natsu's ankles and drug him down underground leaving a hole underneath. Lucy stopped running to inspect the hole as Virgo made her way back up to her master.
"Way to go Virgo! Will he be alright though?" Lucy asked concerned for her friend. Even though he was trying to kill her.
"He is fine Princess. He is in an area that is most suited for his comfort. It's nice and hot."
"Wait what do you mean by nice and hot?" Lucy asked suspecting something, her question was answered shortly as a geyser of magma came flying out of the hole along with Natsu swimming in it having a blast "OH CRAP!" Lucy blurted out.
"Princess I shall prepare for punishment!"
"GO HOME!" Lucy said taking out her key doing a force gate closure.
The lava caught the attention of the other members of Team Natsu. They place the tied up bandits somewhere safe and ran down towards the two. Lava spluttered everyone burning down every house in the town and even making its way to the forests surrounding them causing fires.
"What did you do Natsu?!" Erza practically roared at the dragonslayer. Scared out of his mind he pointed to Lucy. She rose an eyebrow.
"I had no idea Virgo was going to bring him down that deep!"
"Natsu you idiot! This is all your fault!" Gray yelled as he used his ice magic to slow down the magma but failed. He kept on trying in fear of what the aftermath would be.
"Natsu I think you went too far this time..." Happy said ashamed of his friend.
"But I didn't dig the hole!"
"You are right in that regard," Erza stated she shot a glare at Lucy before looking back at him. "But you are the reason in which the hole needed to be dug. For that you are responsible!" Erza anger manifested into an aura so terrifying it made it seem to look as if she was 300 feet tall. Natsu whimpered in fear.
After a couple of hours of Team Natsu trying to ensure the magma stayed in its place, the Rune guards came with mages who specialized in water and earth magic. They extinguished the manga and questioned the team. The other guards surveyed the area or at least what was left with it. When they were finished arresting the bandits the all crowded around the team.
"Excuse me, everyone, on behave of the magic council I hear by place Lucy Heartifillia under arrest. She will be questioned in court tomorrow in front of the council" The messenger announced, Lucy's mouth dropped and everyone let out a scream in confusion. Although you have assisted in clearing out the bandits it does not save you from the damage you have caused. for your efforts, we will allow Ms. Heartfillia to testify along with her teammates at her trial, but I worn you, there is a high chance of her being sentenced to arrest for a handful of years." He continued, Lucy legs were trembling and they soon gave out and she landed on her knees.
"I-I might go to jail?" Lucy Chocked. The shock was too much for her.
