Sasuke noted the two emerging figures coming out of the city's entrance. He narrowed his eyes; his vision had been affected ever since he had obtained his eyes. His vision cleared and he saw a blob of shocking blond hair accompanied with a female ninja with pink hair, memories hit him in the gut, forcing him not to breathe. Naruto and Sakura. He pushed the feeling aside. He had long forgotten the stab of emotions and he wasn't planning on feeling them again. He saw the blonde male seem so familiar but yet not so, so far and unreachable. He heard that he had won the fight against Pain and that he was stronger than him, he had snorted and turned away from that news but inside he felt a cocktail of rivalry, anger and strangely something that seemed to represent pride.

He watched the two as they went down the path. Sakura with her hair still short and she seemed unchanged, not her general features but her personality. He looked on as her threw her head back and laughed viciously hitting Naruto as she did so. There was still the girl that he found girly and immature, he shifted his gaze on Naruto, Sasuke unwilling to look upon someone who stirred up the forgotten emotions in him but his eyes seem to have sought him out and want to find differences in his former comrade. He was unmistakable handsome. His blond hair longer and his eyes still glistened with the same intensity Sasuke first saw when he met him. But he seemed mature, older and wiser. Gone was the cheesy grinning adorable fool, he was taller than Sakura and seemed relaxed and at ease. He seemed so comfortable with her, Sasuke felt a stab of jealously at the two's close friendship. Unlike his previous cheesy grin his mouth was curved in a genuine smile lightening up his features instantly and making him appear even more strikingly attractive, Sakura blushed.

Sasuke sped forwards towards the two figures. Naruto felt a rush of air against him, he knew the scent, the mature scent for the anti-social kid, but as he landed in front of them, he couldn't seem more different. His raven hair was short now, his eyes still as dark as before but guarded now and the colour richer and deeper. His skin was still porcelain white and seemingly delicate. He felt his mouth curve into a careless smile and barely noticed Sakura's sharp inhale and exclamation. He hated his name and swore never to use it again.

Sasuke avoided Naruto's face, he felt his blue eyes gaze at him in a flippant manner. He heard Sakura's loud shout and focussed on her blandness. He just stood there trying to meet the blonde's gaze but couldn't. Sakura seemed muted and blurred by his own disinterest of her. He finally coolly met the cerulean eyes. Sparks met between those eyes and his. Naruto gazed at him as he was looking at a mildly interesting ant.

"So. Fancy seeing you here." Naruto's voice came out deep and rough unlike his flippant words.

Sasuke's throat constricted and he replied the only way he knew how.

"Hn."
