Coming Home
One Shot
So I've been watching a lot of solider coming home surprising children in school videos on you tube the past month. I was inspired to write a one shot.
So the back story since gradating two years ago Troy Bolton hasn't been in Albuquerque for almost two years. When it was time to choose colleges Troy deceived he was going to join the Army. So a week after he graduate he went to train for 13 weeks and was then shipped out to Iraq. He's been out there ever since but now he's back for good and just in time to go to college with his girlfriend who is a senior in high school. His parents no he's home but his girlfriend Gabriella is none the wiser.
This is what happens when Private Troy Bolton came home from the war.
Coming Home
What started out as a normal day for Gabriella Montez she had no idea she was in for the biggest surprise of her life later that afternoon.
Her normal day consisted of going to school and at 12.00pm she always had a phone call from her boyfriend Private Troy Bolton who was currently in Iraq. What she didn't know was he was back home, for good. And that the phone wasn't thousand of miles apart but just a few miles.
So two hours later when Gabriella was in English, Troy was making his way down the corridor towards the classroom with the Principal at his side. Of course since this was his old school he knew his way around but he needed the Principal's permission to get Gabriella out of the last two days of school before Christmas.
Just minutes away Gabriella was completely oblivious as she stood at the front of the class to do a presentation on the most important person in her life. She had no idea that, that person was just outside the door. The Principal and Mrs Darbus were the only one's in the know.
So when the presentation was finished and Troy walked though the door Gabriella was in complete shock. Tears of joy flew down her face as she ran the short steps that separated them and literally leaped into Troy's arms.
"I'm home baby," muttered Troy "I'm home for good,"
Gabriella pulled back from the embrace "For good,"
"For good, forever," replied Troy ducking his head to kiss her.
During the kiss Gabriella slowly let her legs unhook from round Troy's waist and set themselves back on the floor.
"I love you," whispered Troy as their foreheads rested together.
"I love you too," whispered Gabriella
"So how does forever sound. You and me forever?" asked Troy stepping back from Gabriella.
"Wonderful," replied Gabriella
"Great," said Troy slipping down onto to one knee and drawing a black box out of his pocket. Gabriella's hands flew to mouth.
"Because I have a question for you," he smiled "Gabriella Anne Montez will you marry me?" he asked
With tears cascading down her face leaving her speechless the only thing Gabriella could do was nod. And with a smile so big on his face Troy stood up to slip the ring on her finger. The finger it would stay on for eternity before she flew at him again.
With Gabriella literally wrapped around him, he backed into the hallway so they could have some privacy in their forever moment.
