AN: Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who. I am merely a fan who ships on the good ship Rose/10 and wanted to do something in a canon verse.
I hope you guys enjoy it! I will be updating this as often as possible. Hopefully, once a week since I have future chapters plotted out!
Reviews for me equal quotes from the next chapter for you. Completely spoiler free and usually random, these are just encouragement for you guys to give me feedback. It lets me know if I should continue!
The prologue is short, but I felt like it was needed to set up everything in case someone hadn't seen this scene!
I hope you guys enjoy this! :)
Prologue
"How was that going to end?" She felt the knot in the bottom of her stomach. She wasn't sure what she expected him to say; she's not sure she expected him to say anything at all. He had never acknowledged that thing beneath the surface between the two of them, had nearly ignored it when it presented itself. She had admitted her love to him, had devoted herself to him...and, where had that led?
It had lead to this beach, this Bad Wolf Bay. This cursed place where she had been left the last time she had followed his voice...had listened to him calling her.
But, that one unfinished statement had haunted her, had forced her to find him, just to know the ending.
"Does it need saying?" His voice rang out over the waves, shock rocketing through her, sending her still. Unable to say a single word, she simply gazed at the sand.
For the first time since they had met, Rose Tyler knew her heart had been utterly destroyed by him.
"I love you," she heard, whispered into her ear. In his voice, his breath against her hair. Rose's eyes sparkled with the tears she had been holding back. Even still, as she turned to him, she threw herself into his embrace. Her lips met his and it was all that she had ever wanted.
The whir and wheezing of the TARDIS snapped her out of the desires of her heart. She pushed away the imposter and looked toward where the blue police box had once stood and watched it disappear.
Once again, he had left her here at this god forsaken spot on earth. The spot that would only ever serve to break her heart.
She felt a familiar hand wrap itself around hers. Familiar air fingers entangled with hers, a familiar face looked down at her. But, still, tears streamed down her face.
"He's not you..." She whispered.
But, Rose Tyler was used to being left behind. Only, this time, there was no going back to the one place in the entire universe where she belonged...
The imposter wrapped his arms around her, even as she cried into his chest.
One sentence resounded through her sobs, "You're not him..."
I hope you guys enjoyed it! Remember, reviews equal quotes from the next chapter!
