Matt sat on his bed. He focused solely on his game, fingers clicking away rapidly at the controller in his hands. The only thing that could be heard was the electronic noises of the game's music. He'd been playing for hours now, so engrossed in the game that he had even forgotten to eat supper. Since it was getting late he heard Mello's voice grumble at him from the desk across the room.

"Jeeze Matt, just turn it off already. I'm trying to study."

The redhead rolled his eyes and grumbled, but obeyed. He leaned foreword and shut off his Playstation, followed soon after by the TV.

It hadn't worked quite as well as intended.

Matt sighed and laid in Mello's bed rather than his own. He took in the blond's scent and his shoulders began to shake involuntarily as tears flooded his eyes. He hugged the pillow close to his body and curled into a tight ball as silent sobs escaped his lips. That night, and every night preceding it for almost a month, Matt cried himself to sleep.
