Megan POV
I wake up to the sound of my brother knocking on my door. "Megan it's time to take the Aptitude test." I groan and roll over on the floor. "Come on the bus will be here any minute." "I'm coming Shawn!" I grab a gray shirt, a gray pair of jeans, and throw on some gray Vans. I walk out the door and shove a granola bar in my mouth. I have to run to make the bus and I barely make it. Matthew on the other hand was early like usual Shawn and I sit in the same seat. "Shawn." I whisper "Yes Megan?" "Aren't you a little nervous about the aptitude test?" "Nah there is no reason to be it's just a test Megan." "Just a test! Are you kidding it's just a test that determines your life." "No Megan you determine your life." Then we get off the bus. I sit down with the rest of the Abnegation and wait for my name to be called. "Megan and Shawn Mendes." I look over to Shawn and walk in to a room with mirrors there is a lady with brown hair and hazel eyes she has a name tag on that says Sasha. "I'm Sasha and I will be taking your test results." She says as she hands me a purple liquid. "What's this?" I ask "Just drink it." She says in a frustrated tone "Bottoms up." I drink it and I'm about to ask her another question when everything goes blurry and I everything goes faded gray. I wake up to 3 options a piece of meat, a knife, and a flower. And I hear a voice say "Choose." I don't know what to do so I pick the meat and the knife. A dog comes from nowhere and chases me I throw the meat at him to slow him down. Then I remember something I learned so I sink to my knees and put my fingers in a fist. The dog is playful all of a sudden. Then there is a girl she yells "Puppy!" The dog looks mean again and run towards her so I throw the knife and hit the dog. She screams and cries. "Why did you kill the puppy?" She sobs. I don't have an answer so I just try to console her. Then I wake up in the metal chair again. "Get up! You have to go out back!" "Wait what did I get?" "Abnegation… and Erudite…and Dauntless. "That's not possible!" "Yes it is it's called Divergent. It's not something to go around telling people it is very dangerous they killed my brother for it." "Why is it a bad thing?" "Just go home and if your parents ask why you are bad so early tell them the serum made you sick."
