Sega owns all of the Sonic characters. Shadow just wanted to say something because he's insane and doesn't like being called dead. :P
Rouge: Since Sonic Heroes came out people have been misunderstanding the story and they think Shadow's *dead* or something. This is just a funny report by Shadow, I couldn't stop him.. really I tried! Plus it was funny! He was using a typewriter older than my grandmother! HAaahaha! Sorry. @___@

Apparently there is a lot of confusion and even a debate over whether I am dead or a robot or a clone.
This is foolish.
First and foremost: I am the ultimate lifeform. According to official information (Sega's website) I am an "ageless immortal". I was (read your Sonic Heroes booklet you fool) "presumed dead". Which means I am not dead. "Immortal" means I cannot die.
I am Shadow. I am the original. Accept no substitute.
Now that we have established this, let me explain why you should already know this...
In Sonic Adventure 2 I saved the world. After doing so, I fell through the Earth's atmosphere. Whether I used Chaos Control or not is unimportant. The important thing is that I saved the world, fell, and I lived. Dr. Eggman found me in my weakened state. He locked me away because he could not control me.
In Sonic Heroes, Metal Sonic captured Dr. Eggman and began building clones of me while I remained in cryogenic sleep. My memory was damaged again, but Rouge found me. E-123 Omega was destroying the facility, and I was going to destroy him. Rouge stopped me and explained that we should join forces. This made sense to me.
After defeating a boss, I discovered a clone of myself. My memory was still unstable (as it was in Sonic Adventure 2 after being released from a similar cryo-chamber). This clone confused and worried me. Rouge mistook the clone as a sign that I didn't live through my fall. She mistakenly decided I didn't remember anything because I was probably a clone.
When she mentioned space later, she triggered my memory and I began to remember our previous missions.
Later, Omega and Rouge found a storage facility filled with my clones. Omega said he was going to destroy them all. Rouge felt badly about this because she believed I was a clone as well, and she and Omega had done so much with me. She sadly told Omega that I was a clone, and she was about to tell him that the real Shadow died a while ago.
He told her to come to her senses. "You know about cloning." In order to recreate something, "the original must exist somewhere". When he said this, Rouge suddenly understood... and she smiled.
She went outside, to me, the real Shadow. We walked away together, and I insulted her about still being a jewel thief.
Now. Some of you may be saying I'm "not real" simply because I was created by Professor Gerald. Let me remind you that Prof. Gerald was the world's greatest scientist and he made sure that I am indeed real in every aspect. I wasn't born, but this does not make me artificial.
It's still me, Shadow. I was aboard ARK. I knew Maria. I fought Sonic. I know what Rouge was up to. I was there and I remember now.
If you don't believe it's really me, you're kidding yourselves. Really, you think anyone else could have got Rouge and Omega through all of those battles? Give me a break.
And I am not ranting.
