Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Special Attraction" from Season 4, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.

Toby the tram engine was very excited. He was wearing a brand-new bell that shone like gold.

He was on the way to the seaside, with his driver explaning everything along the way.

"There's a seaside village nearby. Every year, they have a big parade, with a special attraction. This year, it's you!"

"Thank you sir!" said Toby, "but what does a special attraction do?"

"Just smiles and blows whistles at all the people." replied his driver. "We're almost there. You can hear the seagulls!"

Soon they arrived at the little station by the village. But there was no big welcome, only a man was standing there with bad news.

"I'm afraid that Toby cannot be in the parade this year"

Toby was upset.

Percy was shunting in the yard and was very surpised to see Toby.

"What are you doing back so soon?"

But before Toby could answer, Sir Topham Hatt arrived.

"There is an emergency at the harbor. Percy, you must go and help." he boomed

"Come on Percy!" said his driver. "It must be Bulstrode again."

"Whose is Bulstrode?" wondered Percy. He now had two puzzles to solve, the one about Toby, and now Bulstrode.

"Bulstrode is a disagreeable barge." said his driver. "He never stops complaining!"

His driver was right about Bulstrode. Today, the barge was more bad-tempered than ever.

"Come on, come on! Go where you should be!"

"There's no engines, and we can only go where we are put!" shouted the cars.

"Well, you are all in the wrong place!"

When Percy arrived, Bulstrode was sulking and the cars were crosser than ever.

"Please put us in a siding so that we can be rid of Bulstrode once and for al!"

So Percy took the cars and began to pull them.

But the cars were being careless. As Percy was pulling them, they burst through some buffers.

"Help, help!" they wailed.

But it was too late! The cars fell and landed right in Bulstrode!

"Help me!" cried Bulstrode. "I'm sinking!"

"Serves you right!" giggled the cars. "You are always barging in and moaning!"

It took a very long time to clear the mess. Percy watched as Bulstrode was towed to the beach.

"You will stay here forever and ever and ever!" said the workmen. "Children can play in you all day and at long last you'll be useful!"

When Percy came home, he exchanged the news with Toby.

"Well we both had some seaside surprises today!" laughed Toby. "But driver says that I'm a special attraction anyway, and so are you, everytime we go on our own line!"

"What do you mean?" asked Percy.

'Well, all we have to do is smile and blow whistles at everyone!"

Percy agreed.
