Walking into his large drawing room, He saw his wife, Narcissa, with an open letter in her hand. Her eyes were crinkled in a rare smile. He walked up next to her, wondering what had gotten her attention.

" Who's it from? " He asked casually.

" Draco. " She said, without looking up. " He says he has a girlfriend. He plans to bring her home on christmas break. Isn't that nice? "

" Yes, I wonder who she is." He mused to himself.

" Does it really matter? He hasn't ever brought a girl home before. " She said, fixing him with a cool stare. " He must think pretty highly of this girl. I don't want you intimidating her or asking too many questions. "

" Alright. "

He left the room quickly. That woman could freeze the blood in his veins with that look of her's. He maybe a powerful wizard, but she was the scariest person he had the misfortune of meeting. Not only had their marrage been arranged, it had been against both their wills.

She had never warmed up to him. And she never let him forget that she hadn't wanted this. The only thing she really enjoyed about their marraige was Draco. He was an only child and was spoiled rotten by his mother.

It made him shake his head, the things Draco was allowed to get away with at home. He had been stricted with him. He tried to counteract the his wife's actions. But it hadn't worked, it had just made Draco hate him and have no respect for him at all.

He walked be the front door just as a letter flew through the mail slot. Picking it up, he saw Draco's familiar, flowing handwriting. He opened it with a sigh. Wondering what he needed this time. They had only just recieved the last one. It ment this one was probably him asking for something.

Inside was just a quick note.

I've decided to come home early. I should be home tomorrow morning. Don't forget, I'm bringing my girlfriend too.
