The angel of the Eastern Gate watched from underneath a tree on a hill opposite the clearing. God was creating; it was always a fascinating thing to observe.

Something hissed in his ear.

"What are you doing out here, angel?"

Aziraphale sighed and turned to face the serpent. "I might ask you the same question."

The serpent rolled his eyes and settled closer to the angel, hanging casually from a low branch. "So what are we watching?"

Down below God took a step back, and sitting beside Adam was a beautiful woman.

"Her name is Eve."

The serpent grinned. "Had give Adam a toy to play with, eh?"

The angel was shocked. "Their love will be pure! They were meant to be together!"

"What are you talking about? It's not like she has much of a choice, now does she? Nah, if you ask me, she's only around so Adam can get his rocks off."

Aziraphale was beyond shocked. "How can you even say that?"

Below them, Adam and Eve kissed in the sun.

The serpent laughed. "See? Told you."

"What? There's nothing perverse about that!"

"Really?"

"Yes, really."

"So kiss me then."

Confused, the angel looked at the serpent. He was serious. "Um, I'm not sure that's a good idea."

"Why not? You said there was nothing perverse about it."

"Yes, but you're a demon."

"So? It's not like kissing me will make you any less of an angel."

"Yes, but you might… bite me or poison me or something."

"Why would I do that?"

Aziraphale looked at him pointedly.

"Right, right, the whole demon bit, I get it. What if I promise not to bite you?"

Aziraphale glared. "Why should I trust you?"

The serpent grinned. "You're an angel. Aren't you supposed to trust implicitly? Come on, it's not like I'm asking for much. Just one kiss."

The angel blushed darkly and looked away. "What if I say no?"

Crawly smiled, his pointed fangs glinting in the sunlight. "Then you agree that what they're doing is sinful, perverted, and dirty, and I win anyway." He slid closer. "Come on, angel. It won't hurt."

Aziraphale worried his lip, his eyes searching the sky. Crawly smirked and took advantage of the angel's distraction. He coiled around the angel's waist, passing up across his shoulders, and looping slowly around his neck. He settled there, waiting for Aziraphale to look at him.

Five minutes later, the angel was still thinking.

Crawly sighed and rolled his eyes. Then he too searched the sky. He paused when he saw the sun peaking out around the branches of the tree. With a small smile he closed his eyes, tucked his head under the angel's chin and bathed in the sun.

The angel made quite a comfortable place to rest.

Some time later he felt a hand caress him. He blinked awake and saw the angel smiling softly at him. He yawned. "Made up your mind yet?"

Aziraphale looked away quickly, before meeting the serpent's eyes hesitantly. The angel placed a hand beneath Crawly's chin, and slowly placed his lips against the serpent's.

Neither quite knew what was involved in a kiss, they merely rested against each other, their lips touching, but barely. The action was so chaste it could hardly be called a kiss.

Crawly's tongue flickered out against Aziraphale's lips, and then the serpent got an idea. He tightened his hold on the angel's neck.

Caught off guard, Aziraphale gasped.

Crawly's tongue quickly darted inside the angel's mouth, memorizing his taste and his feel. He felt the angel tense, and before Aziraphale could pull away, Crawly released him.

He nuzzled the angel's face, slowly working his way over to Aziraphale's ear. "I knew it, angel. You taste like heaven."
