You know that feeling? When you're in the shower, and you're freezing. You're so cold, so you make the water hotter, hotter. Until the water's so hot it scalds your skin. But you're still icy, shivering. It doesn't warm you up, it can't.
Do you know what it's like? When you're cooking a piece of meat, but you turn the heat up too high, and you leave it. And when you come back, it's burnt and black. But when you cut it open, it's still cold and raw and bloody in the middle.
That's how the guilt makes you feel.
