I open my eyes to the first rays of light. It has been quite a few years, and things have not been going alright. Choosing day approaches, and I don't know what to do.
"Christy!" My mother calls from below. "Get ready for the tests!" I groan. I have been dreading these since I heard of them. I slide quickly down the pole I use to get up and down from my room.
"Fine! I just hope I choose correctly and don't kill myself in the process." I reply, and sink into my chair in the Pit. People are rushing all around, and I feel small. Then I spot the boy of my dreams, Laurence, across the room. He is muscular, my age, kind, and-and...all I can do is sigh over him for now. The train sounds in the distance and I rush to catch it; swinging myself on, I look at the sunrise on the horizon.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" I yelp at the question, for it comes from none other, than my cliché crush.
"U-um yea. It i-is." I stammer hopelessly. Another dauntless girl I don't recognize across from me snickers, but goes back to reading a book. Gosh, I wish she goes to Erudite. Soon, it's time to hop off, and one by one, we leave the train and walk into the school, and I gulp. Help me.
