The Boy Whose Last Name Was Gray
His last name was Gray.
Though, of course, she didn't know that until after he died (after she killed him) and it was on everyone's lips (his bottom lip was pierced by a single silver ring).
He knew she didn't know it and he asked her with his (sad blue eyes) lips that brushed the silver ring when he spoke.
Do you even know my last name?
Silly, she'd smiled, but didn't answer (never answered) his question.
The others had just accepted it. Been grateful that a girl like Jennifer Check (was a monster) was coming onto them (her soft, warm hands brushed across his face) but Colin (Gray) had to ask. Because Colin (Gray) wasn't the sort of boy who went for one night stands (his last night alive was a living nightmare).
Colin (Gray) was the sort of boy who went to Creative Non-Fiction classes ('He's, like, all dark and emotional and stuff.') and would probably turn up on your doorstep with flowers if you'd let him.
Colin (Gray) was the sort of boy who would take you on a date to a midnight screening of Rocky Horror ('I don't like boxing movies.').
But Colin (Gray) was also the sort of boy who would never get a chance to do any of those things because Jennifer Check (was a monster) wouldn't let him.
Colin (Gray) was the sort of boy who would never get a chance to do any of those things because Colin (Gray) was dead.
There was no light left in his (sad blue) eyes (the room was lit with dozens of flickering candles).
Drops of liquid ruby slid down his cheeks like tears (he couldn't/wouldn't cry) and landed on the floorboards ('this isn't really your house, is it?') with a sound too faint to be heard over the symphony of his ribs cracking open.
Jennifer Check (was a monster) left him there, spread-eagled on the ground (a string of rosary beads still lay in his hand) and she disappeared without a glance back at his (sad blue eyes) broken body.
She found out the next day when it was drilled into all of their minds over and over that his last name (the boy with the sad blue eyes) was Gray.
A/N: I loved Colin Gray the moment he came onto the screen and I really think his character had so much depth, even though he was only there for a few minutes. Anyway. Reviews would be much appreciated, just to let me know what you thought (:
